Old church renovated into a cottage

Posted Nov 23, 2016
We stayed in the All Angels Church House which is an old church that has been renovated into a little cottage. Has 3 bedrooms, a big living area, and a small (fully equipped) kitchen. Looked to be newly renovated and was very clean. Wish we had stayed there longer. One thing to note is that you check in at Hotel Bruny.

One night at the church

Posted Nov 5, 2016
Location: Bruny Island is wonderful, but the roads are in poor shape. Much to see and do on the island, but takes a lot of time driving twisty bumpy roads.
We spent one night on Bruny Island, and were fortunate to get the All Angels Church property through Bruny Island Escapes. It is literally an old church, renovated and updated with amenities to serve as accommodation. Very charming! If you want quaint and rustic, then this is the place. Very comfortable beds, with electric blankets. Spacious place, with giant couch, large dinner table, nice kitchen amenities, cathedral ceiling, fireplace, and lots of windows. Some downsides for us were the following: (1) a sparrow had been trapped inside the unit for a day or two, and done its own decorating; (2) driveway is hard to find and has blind entry onto the highway; and (3) proximity to the highway means you hear logging trucks starting at 5:30am in the morning. Other than this, it was a delightful stay. Very remote, with lots of birds and wildlife about. And the space heaters help deal with the cool weather. Quite delightful!

Basic but great view

Posted Sep 10, 2016
Pros: Convenience
Cons: Leaky shower
Location: Pub and take away shop to walk to as well as beach over the road. Drive to everything else Bruny has to offer
Close to food and central for tourist highlights. Shower leaked but everyone friendly. Kitchen area well equipped for hotel. Would have had great sunset views as right on water but was rainy!

* The door of bathroom can be fixed - can't close properly * Bathroom condition can be better * Hard to get the wood fire started - perhaps get it works for us

Hotel picture and description are totally wrong!

Posted Jun 14, 2016 on Lastminute
The picture shown for the hotel is deceitful. It doesn't have a log fire and all the fancy facilities shown. It's not even blue. It's a tiny room.
