Dear Monica, Thanks for taking the time to leave this nice comment! A nice breakfast and a smile on the face in the morning is what makes a good day on the slopes, which is important for us! We hope to see you soon at l'Avancher Hotel!
Lovely property on the edge of town. Super quiet, with an excellent breakfast and evening restaurant. Pleasant and helpful staff, who all spoke English. Will definitely stay again when we come back.

Great hotel, good location, would certainly stay again.
Beautiful three day stay for skiing. The place is well done and maintained, cozy, relaxing and have us an overall excellent experience.
Access to slopes via free bus connection serving all the Val-d’Isere staging areas.
On return in the evening, a particular slope will give direct access to the hotel.
We loved out stay at L’avancher. We had a family room which was spacious with separate room for the children with a bunk bed. Easy access to ski and restaurants. The staff were incredibly helpful and thoughtful.
Everything was perfect for us: big enough and clean room, good breakfast, friendly staff, close to the busstop and slopes, warm room, convenience store and ski rental across the road. Great restaurant, too!
Extremely attentive staff- nothing was too much trouble. Extra details such as bathrobes, tea and coffee in room and changing area with showers for late departure were very much appreciated.
A warm cool place. Great service, nice atmosphere. Very Decent comfort for a 3* which could be a 4. Almost sensible pricing considering Val d’Isère.too bad check out is at 10.30
It was amazing! Two grandparents, four married children and their spouses and nine grand-children all in the French Alps for a White Christmas. Loved it! Our hotel was great - clean, comfortable and accommodating! Magical time, unforgettable and so pleased with our choice of accommodation!
Amazing hotel, great location, near bus stops, easy walk to centre village, fantastic staff, very friendly and helpful, extremely comfortable rooms, great buffet breakfast, relaxing bar/lounge....
We have just finished our road trip round France and we both feel the avancher was our favourite hotel of the trip!! We enjoyed it there so much that we extended our stay from 2nights to 3 nights, the rooms were clean, everything was new and sparkly.
The spa was lovely and we went in there every evening before dinner and it was very peaceful, but not sure how crammed it would get in peak session.
Their staff were extremely helpful and friendly and couldn’t fault them.
The buffet breakfast was excellent and we filled up for the day. We ate in the restaurant on our last evening and it was very busy in there every night, the only down side for us was that the menu was only in French and we struggled to order what we wanted even though the waitress was very helpful and explained what some of the items were we didn’t want to hold her up as they were very busy.
It is just a few minutes walk from the centre which was perfect for us. We would definitely recommend this hotel.
I have been visiting Val d'Isere for 30 years and mostly in hotels over the last few years, including 5 star hotels. I would have no hesitation in recommending Avancher to anyone visiting Val d'Isere so much so I am returning in 10 days time. It has been so well designed, with good sized bedrooms with excellent facilities. I didn't eat in the restaurant, other than for breakfast, however it was full each night, not just with residents. The Avancher team could not have been more helpful.
I would like to give this a bad review just to keep this gem a secret but I can’t find it in myself to do so! Had a fabulous family holiday here. Local enough for easy access to the slopes, very quiet, lovely views and the beds are sooooo comfortable. Can’t wait to go back.
Great hotel!!! Super nice and comfortable and clean. However NOT a ski-in/ski-out hotel as it states on the description. Going to the slopes and back takes a 10 minutes walk or a bus 2 stops. So not what you expect from ski-in/ski-out hotel. Breakfast also a bit average for what you’d expect. Otherwise a great stay.
Amazing brand new Hotel (fully renovated and re-opened in 2017).
Super kind staff, owner is taking care himself of his clients.
Great food (breakfast, dinner).
Beautiful decoration. Very good size of the rooms.
Hotel in a good location, took us five minutes to walk to the centre of the village and the ski bus was outside the front of the hotel.
The room was comfortably furnished with a lovely (and immaculately cleaned!) bathroom - the one and only fault we could possibly find with the hotel was that the room got exceptionally hot overnight but was often chilly in the late afternoon. The heating appeared to be centrally controlled and there was no means to adjust the temperature of the room (bar turning on the towel radiator in the bathroom to warm up).
Ski lockers are one per room and are locked with your room key which is handy, but we couldn't fit two snowboards in ours. The staff at reception were accommodating and managed to find us an alternative locker for the second board.
Lovely breakfast; bar staff polite; good drinks selection and very reasonable for the resort - vin chaud €7.50, wines €5-8 glass, draught beers €6-8 50cl. The bar area was lovely with cosy seats and throws, perfect for pre-dinner drinks.
We didn't eat in the restaurant as we aren't fondue fanatics but it seemed to be fully booked most nights.
Lovely spa area; cosmic spa on the roof with a view out over the slopes was a highlight. Beautiful surroundings. Not truly ski to door but with a ski bus stopping outside we didn't feel we missed out much.
We would love to stay here again.
excellent service. Hotel restaurant is very popular.

Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback,
We are glad that you appreciated your stay with us. The restaurant is indeed quite popular and we always recommend to book in advanc as it is open to both our hotel guests and the general public,
Best regards,
We have stayed at this hotel a number of times and it just gets better, the service is always so helpful and friendly, the rooms are immaculate and the hotel is perfectly situated for the village and ski bus. The restaurant in the hotel is brilliant and we are already looking forward to our stay in Feb 2016.

Dear Mike & Emma,
Thank you for leaving us a review,
It's always a pleasure having you and we look forward to seeing you again in the future,
Best regards,
Small friendly hotel 10 mins walk from centre of Val D'isere. Lovely continental breakfast, clean small room, comfy bed. We were not skiing so I can't comment on proximity to ski lifts or hotel ski room. Our stay was warm and peaceful and we would return again.
We had a lovely stay at L'Avancher hotel very central and the room opened out onto a lovely balcony which as it was very sunny we were able to enjoy although the rooms are quite small we didn't spend enough time in it to matter. The breakfast buffet was perfect for our needs. I would recommend this hotel for the location and cleanliness
