Charming

The bed and breakfast is very warm , charming and interesting. My guests and myself enjoyed the ease of location and thoughtfulness of the proprietors.

Suitable for a casual vacation

Posted Sep 11, 2017
The lady at registration ( I believe her name was Nora) was fantastic! Everyone else we came in contact with we're very nice. But there was one younger woman at the coffeehouse was a total disaster as an example of customer service. She was in charge of making coffee and calling out the names of patrons when their order came up. My wife and I had a simple order, two large coffees and two breakfast burritos. The order came out fast! But when she poured the coffee, there was only enough for part of one cup. We were asked to wait until the next pot brewed. We stepped aside to wait so as not to keep others from picking up their orders. She filled a cup with coffee and handed it to me, but the cup was half coffee grounds and I handed it back and said, it was not acceptable. She huffed and told me I would just have to wait again. So I stepped aside again. An order came out with two large coffees, which she filled and handed to people who had only just walked up. I stepped up and asked why my coffee was not poured. She gave me a huge fake smile and in a smarmy voice said " Are you having a bad day?" I wasn't until I ran into that horrible person. So my burrito was cold by the time I got to sit down and eat it. It was a busy place, but common courtesy was not this girls strong suit!

Typical ski resort property at base of slopoes

Posted Sep 3, 2017
Pros: The cost of the room was exceptionally low for the area. At the time we were searching for room, rooms in Jackson were running $500 and up.
Cons: The breakfast menu. We would have stayed and eaten there had it been a more extensive menu.
Location: Remote location at the end of a dead end room. Road ends at Grand Targhee ski resort. Beautiful scenery and drive in to the resort.
We arrived at the hotel and were greeted by the front desk clerk and quickly checked in. Got to the room. It was what we expected. Clean, sufficient and comfortable beds. Balcony off the room overlooked the Grand Targhee Resort ski slopes. Breakfast was advertised but we did not stay. It was a little disappointing for a ski resort breakfast.

Great atmosphere and staff are all friendly.

Pros: The Santa Fe style rooms, Family friendly and enforced Non-smoking!!!! The lodge we stayed prior to this did not enforce non-smoking,+screaming kids..
Cons: n/a
Location: Loved playing disc golf here, there are mountain bike trail rides down, looks like a quaint ski lodge too for the winter
We came to the Sioux Lodge after spending the day in Yellowstone Nat'l Park. It was such a relaxing and peaceful place after fighting the eclipse crowd in Yellowstone. Definitely a sight for sore eyes and tired bodies. The room we stayed was immaculate and more than we expected.

The hotel was very nice. Quite far out of the way. Very winding road to get to it. Food was great. Very clean.

Nice room-lacking in staff

Posted Aug 25, 2017
We needed an overnight location on our way from Jackson Hole to Glacier. The price was right and because we didn't want a long drive after our flight, we choose this hotel. I tried to call on our way there, but got no answer my first 3 times. Finally someone answered. One we got there, we had the same issue every time I called the front desk. No one would pick up the phone. I heard the person checking in next to me being told that the resorts activities opened late and closed pretty early - so if you are hoping to do any of their activities, check their hours. The room was quite nice and very comfortable, exactly as pictured and expected. The view of the mountains was beautiful. The restaurant was nice, but being vegan and gluten-free, as I expected, the menu choices were limited to a salad. But to their credit, they were willing to add a grilled portobello mushroom to their delicious Grilled Cauliflower Salad. It was quite substantial and we left feeling satiated.

Out of the way, no air conditioner, no elevator

Posted Aug 10, 2017
Pros: The views.
I booked this hotel because of the cost savings. Being a first time visitor, I did not realize how far away it really was from Yellowstone and the Grand Teton National Park. I visited in August and was extremely uncomfortable with the heat, since there was no air conditioning, just a small, insufficient fan. And there's no elevator. The room was clean and roomy with a mini-fridge, microwave, and dining area. I was also left extra towels. But I would not choose to stay again. I also ate breakfast at the small cafe two mornings and it was not very good.

Beautiful location,

Posted Aug 5, 2017
Great restort, would use again, food great, facilities great, activities great. Two issues: they were preparing for two big events, so they set up row of porter potties, with all the beautiful landscape our view from our deck was the porter potties, they should have did something to camouflage the area, Thursday employees were busy getting set up for event and were riding back and forth on noisy vehicles before 7am ( vacation!) while you must prepare for upcoming guest you need to consider those who are already there. Everything else was perfect, would go again.

Much below expectation. The suite is very small and the bathroom has a terrible smell

Gorgeous Views!

Posted Jul 29, 2017
Pros: It was a great place to rest up after long days of driving. I wish we had more time to enjoy the grounds.
Location: The drive to Jackson Hole was one hour. That was where we had planned on being. However, the towns along the way were very charming.
Although the rooms are basic, the beds are comfortable and the place is clean. We were there during the off-season, so no snow, but the views are unbelievable! Staff is friendly and the food at the coffee shop is excellent, as is the coffee and ice cream! The drive to Jackson Hole from here is one hour with breathtaking views! The scenic trip up on the ski lift was an unforgettable!
