I was disappointed

Pros: The way it looks
Cons: Rinse your laundry properly. Consult your fabric care specialist if you can not figure it out yourself. Install a proper hot water system
The building looked to be in good condition and the staff was friendly. The issues that I had with this property is the the smell of bleach in the sheets and pillows was overwhelming. I appreciate that everything is being washed and sanitised but the smell was just over the top strong. I slept terrible. When I got up and took a shower I had to turn the shower valve as far to the hot side as possible and that was barely enough to make my morning shower possible. These two issues set the tone for a crabby day for me. Needless to say the wife was not happy with this.

The hotel room was small and did not have enough tables and I asked for more blankets since they were so thin and I was told they did not have anymore. The pool looked very dirty and it smelled to strong with chlorine. I asked staff several times to place a sign on the coffee to let people know that it continues to pour out even when you let go so no one gets burned and it did not happen. In the morning everything is not spaced out so everyone is on top of each other trying to get breakfast. I will only stay at this hotel again if I don't have a choice.

Smoke Free but still smells like smoke

Pros: The hotel is in a good location and the breakfast is very good. The person in charge of the breakfast is very pleasant and gracious.
Cons: Not allowing smoking in a room is great but these now smoke free rooms need to be cleaned thoroughly. This was not done in my room.
I stay at this hotel frequently and was pleased to see the outside sign indicating that the hotel is now smoke free. My room, however, was not. There was such a strong cigarette smell in the room that I almost asked for a room change. I also had a coupon from my booking agency that entitled me to $50.00 off my room at checkout and the desk clerk did not honor it. I was told the coupon was between me and Expedia even though it stated it should be presented at check out.

Excellent except train whistle at night

College Visit

Pros: The staff was very friendly and accessible location
Cons: Rooms look a little dated, but more than acceptable
Location: We were there to visit Juniata College which was only 5 minutes for the hotel. Nearby is Raystown Lake and State College is only 30 minutes away.
Booked late at a very reasonable price. Very accessible location, clean and super friendly staff. The breakfast was a really nice bonus.

TRINA, front desk clerk, is extremely rude.

First, I want to say the dining room help and cleaning personnel are extremely polite, which is why I rated a one. I booked this hotel to spend time with my grandchildren, who live in Huntingdon. We wanted to enjoy some family time around the indoor pool. Everytime we passed the front desk, Trina would scowl in our direction and was very upsetting to my grandchildren. Around 10:00pm my 10 year old granddaughter asked Trina, at the front desk for more towels, she told her NO!. I then went up and requested more towels, Trina told me we had reached our limit. I said we only had 6 towels, and that was not even 2 per person (total of 4 people overnight). She then informed it was "hotel policy" to limit towels. I asked for a manager and Trina informed me the manager would be in tomorrow, but she did not know his name or when he would arrive. I have stayed at the Mariott in Huntingdon many times and will NEVER stay at the Comfort Inn again. We did not feel welcome at this hotel.

Close to Juniata

Pros: The breakfast is nice. My 8 year old loved the chocolate pancakes!
Location: It is close to Juniata College.
The hotel is close to Juniata College. It is a nice place to stay when bringing a child to college. The breakfast is a nice perk. It is right beside the train, which can be quite loud when trying to sleep.
