Very clean, comfy beds

good but loud

Pros: The room was clean and nice. overall a good experience.
Cons: There was someone or multiple people slamming doors all through the night both nights i stayed here. my card keys didn't work about 6/15 times we tried to use it.

Perfect for a overnight trip.

Location: Food! Try Gordon Street Tavern. It was great!
I didn't see much of the hotel, but for the one night I stayed, everything was perfect! Clean and friendly with no hassles. Breakfast was a simple continental, but no complaints. Great value! There are lots of good restaurants close by also!

Great place to stay before leaving on cruise

Pros: Close to Galveston and a more reasonable stay compared to Galveston hotel/motels. Loved its cleanliness. MUCH cheaper than Galveston!
Cons: Joking sort of - but let me buy your pillows - great pillows.
Location: Close to major highways so easy access from Galveston, Houston, Clear Lake/NASA. For Nolan Ryan fans, they have a museum in town.
I couldn't find a room before my cruise in Galveston that was under $200 that was decent. Since I had stayed here last year for a week and a short drive to Galveston, I made the choice to stay again. It turned into a great choice. I would strongly suggest to others to stay here that are going to drive to the dock and park. I had made a reservation online and it went off without a hitch. All those that worked the desk polite and nice. Since it had been awhile since I had been in Alvin, I got advice on where to eat, settled on Olive Garden that is just down the street. Actually there are several to choose from that are very close to the location - again all those at the desk very helpful. Remodeled since last year - and it wasn't bad last year. My room was excellent - both times actually. If going to be staying for several days, they do shop for and sell tv dinners and such for those that don't want to eat out and rather have a quick meal in your room. Well lit parking lot. If coming in late, there are no issues at all. Fridge in the room which was great since my friend had to keep her medication cool.

Clean, comfortable lodgings

Hotel is surprisingly well appointed for low-end chain. Public areas were kept super-clean. A fitness center with multi-gym and free weights? Amazing! Bed very comfortable. Only downside was finding live and dead roaches in the room. Given the location of hotel, I know it's nearly impossible to prevent. They're just not a pleasant room companion.

We unfortunately got put in a room with bed bugs, we changed rooms instead of leaving because it was so late. We checked the other room before putting our stuff in it. The staff offered to refund our money and helped us find another empty room. She also allowed us to check the whole room. Also the breakfast could offer a few more choices, there was not a lot to choice from. It was an ok stay since we were just stopping through.
