"Great place to stay, amazing sea views."
Stayed 7 nights- room amazing view, out to sea, coastline, clifftop pool etc.
Room in older part of hotel, had small balcony, not enough room for seating, the window/door opened and with the insect mesh, the sea sounded wonderful.
Restaurant-waiters very professional, breakfast staff, efficient and friendly, reception staff very knowledgeable, helpful, friendly. Very clean small hotel, would recommend highly.
Breakfast plentiful, lots of choice. Omelette small additional fee. Ask for room tea/coffee tray if reqd.
Tipping-as all expenses went on final bill, was unsure of tipping, so left envelope at reception for sharing, tipped housemaid too. Downsides, lots of steps- hotel is built into cliff, historically a paper mill.Hotel is slightly isolated, no local shop, 1 pizzeria nearby, road has no pavement, so cars, buses are very close. Driving here needs confidence as roads narrow, sharp bends- buses, mopeds everywhere. Transfer from airport-private taxi 110 euros each way! didn't find alternative. Pool is small, sea is right there, with inflatables if reqd, an area is roped off for guests. Gym not great and hot. The hotel photos are accurate- views from restaurant, breakfast lounge are wonderful. The sun sets behind the mountain, so no sunset. Shuttle bus to Amalfi leaves and drops you back at set times. A local bus 1.20 euros takes you to nearest towns or can walk- Amalfi 30mins and Minori 15mins are closest. 1 week is not enough Amalfi Coast is truly amazing.
