Interesting eclectic hotel someway out of town

Pros: The view, the staff and the breakfast
Cons: The soundproofing between rooms.
Location: The hotel is located outside Amalfi and there is about a 1 km walk down a narrow busy road to get to Amalfi, dangerous at night. L
The hotel was about 1 km out of town with a wonderful view of the ocean and generous balconies to enjoy the view. The rooms were small particularly the bathroom. My major problem was the noise from a neighbour who stayed on their balcony til late. Other than that and the lack of a lift to the second floor it was clean and comfortable. The eclectic mix of objects and sculpture on the ground floor and the great breakfast made it memorable.

Excellent Value Hotel in Amalfi Coast

Pros: Room View, Free shuttle service, Excellent Breakfast, Friendly Staff
Cons: Elevator is old and small, needs renovation
Location: The hotel is by the coast only 800m from Amalfi center. Go to Amalfi center, Santa Croce Beach, Positano (Buss or Ferry) and Capri (by Ferry)
This is an amazing hotel in Amalfi. We stayed 4 nights in July. We didn't pay much but we got a lot for our money. They gave a room with a sea view. The view is gorgeous, you see the coast, the hills, the yachts. Maybe the rooms need a little renovation but they are neat and comfortable. Breakfast has a lot of variety and excellent coffee. The hotel provides a free shuttle service to and from the center of Amalfi. This made us save big on taxis. And the hotel staff are flexible and willing to do an extra shuttle ride in case you're running a bit late. Overall, all the staff are super friendly and flexible. Everybody is doing everything, eg: driving shuttle but also helping with breakfast, so it gives you the feeling that an Italian family is hosting you! This hotel is highly recommended.

Rooms on 6th floor have balcony with sunbeds; these are great. Rooms on lower floors are small and some don't look onto the sea.

Horrible Staff. Worst hotel I've ever stayed in.

Hands down the worst experience I've ever had in a hotel. Staff was rude, unaccomodating, and insulting. After complaining about poor service and mistreatment they refused to help remedy the situation. Do not stay here. Hotel is dated, dirty, and uncomfortable. We originally thought we would stay here because it was cheap, but the staff made this the worst decision I've ever made with a booking. Do yourself a favor and stay at another one of the hotels nearby.

Beautiful View

Pros: You can't deny the view from this hotel. It would have been even better if our room had a view but we weren't that lucky.
Cons: Make the "bar" more inviting for people to have a drink, I felt like an inconvenience when I had to ask reception for a beer! Minibar in room needed.
Location: It was an easy enough walk down to the town centre where you can shop, eat or head out for day trips via buses or boats.
First impressions were not good, were asked for our passports for registration but rather than it being done there & then, we were told we would get them back later. We had to ask for them later that evening & were shocked that they were just sitting in our room pigeon hole - BIG NO NO!!! As a hotel, they should understand how important these documents are. Being in such a gorgeous location, the hotel could offer so much more. It's a little outdated so could do with a few renos. As it offers room service, why not also do a sit down service for dinner to cater for people who may not want to venture out after a big day of sightseeing. There was apparently a lemon garden & when I asked where it was, I didn't get any clear directions on how to locate it. The shuttle bus is very regimented, you must book the time to go & time to be picked up & the last one to get home was too early. Unfortunately, the downfall for me was the hotel staff (not all, just a few in particular) which was disappointing. Breakfast was nice, good selection & the most gorgeous tomatoes I have ever tasted. Overall, it's worth the stay for the view & it's easy to get to town & around.

Brilliant location and staff!

Pros: The breakfast. The lovely terrace. The balcony sea view. The hotel staff (Luca and Anna, and the kitchen staff!!)
Cons: Perhaps having wifi in one's room (if being fussy) - there is wifi in the foyer though. A kettle in one's room (again fussy).
Location: A roughly 20min walk from the town centre (and a shuttle service exists from the hotel), lots of restaurants, cafes, shops, and a few beaches!
This hotel made the Amalfi experience amazing. The location is literally a less than 20min walk to the beach, the view outside of the window is simply breathtaking and never gets old. I highly recommend getting a sea-view room, as it makes all the difference in the world to step onto your balcony and see the ocean. I'd say for the location and the service, this hotel is a fantastic bargain. It's quiet, safe, and a joy to be in. The furniture is super quirky, but the whole hotel had a character about it, a feeling of being in someone else's family home, which to me was perfect! Highly recommend it.

Pleasant Surprise

Pros: The view, the rooftop terrace, the delicious breakfast, the comfortable bed, the congenial staff, and the location because we love to walk.
Cons: On the website the description of the Mediterranean garden view cloud be less misleading---it was a wall of vines. Could be disappointing.
Location: Less than a mile from Amalfi town and beach. Pleasant walk. Bus service. OK pizzeria and and excellent restaurant with breathtaking view close by.
We stayed at this hotel on our trip to Amalfi in mid-October. I booked it online. I was a little nervous when the bus dropped us off at night in front of this place that didn't exude charm. We were welcomed by a man who spoke little English which happens in a foreign country! And the daytime staff was much better in that department. I was holding my breath when we were directed to our room desperately hoping we had the sea view I had requested. I was not disappointed. We could throw open the windows and drink in this amazing view that far surpassed what I had seen online--the sea, the mountains in the distance, the little town of Amalfi tucked down at the base of the tall rocky cliff off to our left. The view was even more amazing from the rooftop terrace. Breakfast was perfect---cappacino! The less than a mile walk to town was a pleasant one. The price was right. Don't pass this one up! We loved it!
