Feels like a family-run hotel, not in a good way.

Astonishing views, as with most hotels in the area. The people who run the hotel work non-stop - the same people were working every day when we got up and went to bed. But there's a lack of professionalism. Our passports were taken from us, instead of just having photocopies made - the manager forgot to give these back to me on departure, so I had to remind him. The paid parking is at least a 5 minute walk away - fine unless you want to use the car a lot during your stay. Expedia listed parking as 10 euros a day. We were charged 20 euros a day, which the manager showed me to be the Venere-listed rate. I had to prove that my Expedia reservation listed the 10 euro rate. Checkout took an eternity whilst all the handwritten drinks from our stay were manually added up.
We booked a triple room of 3 singles on Expedia. We were given a double and a single. This could not be rectified til the next day, when the double was simply split - I suspect we were given an incorrect room.
The shower was temperamental. Some days we lost the ability to control the temperature - either boiling hot or cold.
Towels were strange - like tablecloths, but I think that might be fairly common in Italy.
The setting within Praiano is good, on the steps down to the sea (don't stay on the amalfi coast if you can't handle a lot of steps). Amazing views from room. It was a pretty reasonable price, so perhaps I'm being a tad harsh, but all I can do is give my honest views on return from holiday.
