Great view, hotel staff some of the sweetest ever, parking is great, the breakfast was fantastic and the whole experience charming. The wifi was a problem though.

Great quiet hotel with incredible views.

Posted Aug 12, 2015
We had a great time at this hotel. If you're looking for walking access to the beach you've booked the wrong one. It has a bus closeby, cafe and all the restaurant shuttles pick up here. Very small boutique hotel. We rented the suite with the sea view and it was pricey but perfect. Hotel does not have a pool but the staff are excellent and breakfast arrived in our room each day.

Goal of hotel to charge for extra items

Posted Jul 21, 2015
Cons: The hotel indicated in the promotional hand out that it had a free shuttle. I asked for information at the desk and was not provided with a schedule.
Location: The walk to the beach is up and down very steep steps. I did it but it was not easy.
Booked a room for 4 people on line. The email confirm said came with one double or 2 twins. Really for 4 people? It also indicated the cost for a rollaway bed was an extra 100 euros per day. I sent emails to the hotel for clairity and no response was received. It turned out that there were only 3 in our party and the room had a queen and a twin. I met one guest while there that indicated that she was being hit up for an extra 100 unexpected euros a night. It could have been related to a charge for a roll away bed. At check-in the guest in front of me was questioning the food charge on his final bill. We were very careful not to get hit with these charges. The hotel only has a very minimal continental breakfast. You must fill out a sheet the night before indicating which of the few choices that you want and the time. You can eat on the porch or in your room. There are some additional items that can be paid for. If you need silver ware etc in your room to eat the 10 euro omelet then you will be hit up for a 15 euro service charge. Used the free shuttle 2 times and they tried to charge me at check out for a 22.50 euro transport fee.

Very nice experience.

Posted Jul 19, 2015
Pros: Staff is very nice and helpful. Rooms are clean and view is amazing from balconies.
Cons: Maybe a shuttle to take guests to/from down the hill?
Location: You're in Positano which is beautiful. Lots to do.
Very cute little hotel in Positano. Staff is very nice and helpful. Rooms are clean and view is amazing from balconies. Only issue (not hotel's fault) is the hotel is located fairly high up in Positano, so it's a trek to get down to the port/central area and back up. Otherwise, great experience and I would recommend to others.

Nice and very clean hotel with a beautiful view

Posted Jul 12, 2015
Pros: Very homey
Cons: Staff need to be more friendly
Location: Hard to get around, walking is very difficult in the very narrow streets full of motorcycles and cars. No space for people on foot!
Nice and comfortable room, the safe did not work, we asked them to fix it and they did nothing for it!

Beautiful and romantic gem away from tourist cente

Posted Jun 28, 2015
This is a small, private family-run hotel with possibly the best views in Positano. It's perched high up on the steep hills that are so characteristic of this beautiful city. On first we impression, we were wary of the location - it does require a bit of navigating the steps that bring one to the beach and main center. However, this part is also what made our stay amazing. Beautiful restaurants nearby, away from the main tourist drags, little food shops down the block. And the view from our gorgeous tiled room is indescribable. Excellent place for a romantic trip. The daily breakfast served to us on our private balcony was the icing on the cake. Highly recommended!

Luxurious resort

Posted May 31, 2015
Pros: Luxurious.
Cons: Currently there is a daily charge for wifi. Would be nice if wifi was included in the price of the room.
Location: Near the top of the hill in Positano allowing for breathtaking views, but a long walk (about 30 minutes) to the beaches.
This was by far the nicest place we stayed during our week in Italy. Our room was on the second floor with a balcony facing the Mediterranean. The room was huge with a vaulted ceiling, clean, and decorated with beautiful blue tiles, chandelier and blue and white accents. Be aware there are a lot of stairs and walking as it is located on the top of the hill.

Nice place, but not the best fit for us

Posted May 4, 2015 on Hotels
Hotel staff were friendly. However, it is a tough place to stay if you don't know Italian, as the staff don't speak a lot of English. Bless them, they tried to help us as best they could but we don't speak a lick of Italian. I could only rate the staff a 3/5 because they couldn't help us out much due to the language barriers. Advice, brush up on basic italian before you stay here As for the room - the bed was very hard and the room was quite tight to move around in. The shower was small and hard to maneuver in to wash. Internet was 10 Euro a day. The place is at the entry point for the road into the Positano township proper, so it is a good walk down all the steps and then up again. Excellent workout, if you are into approx 30 minutes of rigorous stair climbing. They run a bus that is 1.70 Euro (one way) that takes you from almost outside the hotel all the way down into P-Town. Views made up for it though as they give you a panoramic view of the Sea and a good viewpoint of the Amalfi Coastline. Would I stay here again? It's probably not the best fit for us personally - but it is a good place and very well priced.
