Nice hotel close to all amenitiesPosted Jul 26, 2017
Best proper hotel in this part of Italy. Very convenient to get to as it is minutes from the port, bus terminal and walking distance to Atrani. Many restaurants and bars just outside the hotel door steps. Staff are all very friendly and helpful. It is also very clean and towels are changed daily compared to other so called hotels along the coast and islands. It was very nice to get back to a nice and friendly hotel where nothing was any trouble after a long day out sightseeing and tired legs.

A small cozy hotel in an excellent locationPosted Jul 17, 2017 on CheapTickets
Within walking distance of ticket offices, bus stops and ferries. On the main market street and just a few steps away from the cathedral. The only downside was the size of the room, which might be a little small for some. However, it was well equipped and with tea making facilities. The bathroom was amazing!

Pro: The staff were very helpful. Good security protocol. Con: The beds were hard, not so comfortable.

Had a very enjoyable stay in the Hotel Amalfi. Everyone working there was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast on the roof-top sun terrace with views of the dome of the cathedral was the perfect way to start the day with an excellent selection to choose from. Everything was of a high standard and the hotel is very central.
A perfect hotelPosted Jun 2, 2017 on Hotels
A very convenient location off the main Street. Breakfast high quality and served at a superb location on the roof. Room tasteful and had everything we needed, shower best we've had. Staff helpful. Needed hooks on back door of bathroom - insufficient room for towels. Enjoyed sitting in garden area. Garden view rooms would have been quieter than ours on alley way. Would have appreciated reception staff telling 3am noisemakers in alley to be quiet rather than having to do it ourselves.
A little Jewel of a boutique hotel!!Posted May 12, 2017 on Hotels
Absolutely loved this boutique hotel! It was very convenient to the main piazza close to the duomo de San Andrea! ( a must see) ! One only has to walk down a few steps to excellent dining with great value for you Euro within Twenty steps of the hotel!! The restaurant is called La Perla! The owners are friendly and it is a family run business that will tantalize your taste buds. Or you can walk about twenty steps down to the main market and find a number of outdoor dining venues with excellent food and excellent service staff! Hotel Amalfi is in my opinion all you need and the cost to stay was. Dry resonable compared to Venice or Florence and you have a wonderful choice of towns to visit close by to make you experience one to remember!! I almost forgot to mention; They have a wonderful Roof too terrace that they serve Breakfast in the morning which is all glass for you to enjoy a panoramic view if the mountains suroundind Amalfi!!

Loved our stayPosted Oct 21, 2016 on Hotels
Hotel Amalfi is a cute hotel located at the perfect location. In the centre of town, a walk away from all the buses and ferries. Breakfast was delicious and fresh with a lot of options. Service was exceptional, even provided phone chargers. The only negative is the condition of the rooms. Even though the room was comfortable, it was small and not enough space. Furniture was fairly old. Bathroom was a decent size. Overall, absolutely worth the money.

Lovely hotel to stay at in AmalfiPosted Oct 2, 2016
We have just returned from a 2 week stay at Hotel Amalfi. It is a lovely, family run hotel just off the main street .The room was a good size and comfortable with a bathroom with a shower, it was cleaned on a daily basis. The breakfast was very good with lots of choice, cereals, lovely fresh bread, ham, cheeses, pastries (savoury and sweet), local cakes, yoghurts and fresh fruit and friendly staff to greet you and make your coffee (or tea). All the staff were so friendly and helpful with lots of local knowledge and tips especially if you wanted to know the best way to travel to other places, nothing was too much trouble. They can organise a transfer to and from the airport if you need it. It was such a good base to enable us to explore the area and there are many really good places to eat within a short walk from the hotel and once the day time tourists have gone Amalfi has a lovely homely feel to it to relax and enjoy the evening. We would definitely stay here again. Amalfi is a beautiful place in its own right and great base to travel all around this area. We used the buses, tram, boats and trains to visit Ravello, Pompei, Herculaneum, Paestum, Positano, Capri and Sorrento and some smaller places, such as Viertri Sul Mare which is home to some beautiful ceramics dotted all around the town, which are not on the usual tourist trail. The bus rides are an experience in their own right and a great way to appreciate the beautiful views both of the coastline and the lemon groves

The hotel whilst basic was clean and the staff were helpful. Arrived on a Wednesday to be told there was a free 2 hour walking tour around Amalfi at 5pm that evening. The tour was excellent and set the scene for the rest of our stay. The hotel is up a flight of steps but that is the nature of Amalfi and other towns on the coast. Taxis drop you at the harbour and it is a short walk up the Main Street and then up the steps!
