Lovely staff and view but out of the way

Pros: The staff and the view.
Cons: The shuttle service could run more frequently to make the location more manageable.
Location: The location is not ideal and there is nothing nearby.
The staff at Hotel Doria were lovely and very helpful however the hotel is really out of the way. There is nothing around so you have to rely on a shuttle to get anywhere. The shuttles also don't run all day, they drop you off in town at 10am and the next one won't pick you up until 4pm so you are really stuck for the whole day. The view from the room is amazing if you get a room with a balcony however the facilities are very limited. The shower is insanely small and there are no amenities in the room (eg. no glasses or cutlery). The aircon was great and always on so that is a plus but overall I would not recommend this hotel.

Relatively good price hotel for amalfi

Not sure if I'd go back but not sure if there are better hotels in the area for $200 per night. Picked hotel because if free parking and the view but our room had no view.

WARNING - DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!

Pros: NOTHING
Cons: EVERYTHING THIS PLACE IS A CESSPOOL AND THEY RIPPED ME OFF!!!!
The moment I walked into my room (which was the size of a closet and smelled bad) I began itching badly. This type of skin reaction has never happened to me before. My skin became irritated and red and I got several welts on mu feet. I do not know if there were bed bugs, other types of bugs or if there was some type of irritant in the room that caused the bad reaction. I tried waiting it out for a few minutes but the itching became unbearable and if there were bed bugs or lice I did not want to take them with me. I quickly booked a room at another hotel and went to the front desk and asked for a refund. I was told by the front desk clerk that I would have to get my refund through expedia but that it should not be a problem. I called expedia today and they had already paid the hotel. Expedia contacted the hotel to ask for authorization to provide a refund and the hotel refused and would not provide any explanation for not refunding my money except that it was against their policy. The hotel acknowledged what happened and that I didn't stay there but wouldn't refund my money.

Dearest Madam, Following to your comment we have to answer. First of all we don't have any bugs in all our rooms. The maid cleans every day with special products against insects. Instead of booking another hotel, you could ask for another room, however you declared to have an allergy to cotton ad silk. We ask in advance to communicate any form of health problems, in order to help our guest. No refund could be admitted, because the cancellation policy is clear and definited. Kindest regards

Cons: Shuttle service
the room is ok, not very big. It is far away from the center, and the shuttles has to be reserved at least 1 hour before and the schedule is not very good, many hour with no shuttle during the day. The view from the balcony is very nice

Hotel is a bit away from town but they have a shuttle. Great that they had parking. Breakfast was very good. Staff excellent. They called a local restaurant that picked us up and brought us back for free! Would stay again.

NICE HOTEL

Pros: The view from the room was just excellent.
Cons: The rooms are very tight so very little room to move around if you have an extended stay. This is most especially in the bathroom.
Location: The location was just perfect for what i came out to do which was a boat tour of amalfi coast.
The most interesting individual i met at the hotel was the chef who also was the night staff at front desk. He had very interesting stories and was happy to make himself available to me. The gentleman that helped us at with parking was also very enjoyable as an individual.

Pros: Staff, view shuttle
Location: 10 minute drive from Amalfi town. Clos to Ravella
Great price and staff. Very courteous. Hard to find parking in Amalfi so shuttle is perfect
