Subpar Lodging

Pros: Nice lobby area with free coffee and popcorn, pool.
Cons: 1st floor room needs remodeling, especially bathroom.Fix exit door, so that it locks unless accessed with hotel key card.Protein options for breakfast
Location: Close to I-40
The good: Nice lobby, staff was pleasant, kids enjoyed pool, beds were comfortable. The bad: Terrible bathroom! Toilet was crooked, shower was not clean and full of hair from previous occupant, shower drain was clogged (so you get to stand in 5" or so of clogged water while showering -yuck!), mildew on tile, very dated and needed major remodel. Inadequate outlets by bed with nowhere to charge electronics and sit in bed at same time without unplugging lamp or clock, outlet for hair dryer and coffee maker non-functioning (even after reset), cigarette burn on bed comforter in non-smoking room, lock system not operating on first floor exit door from hallway to exterior. Wi-Fi was slow and spotty in room, but okay in lobby. Also, the free breakfast was not very good, so it did not help offset price. No protein offered, except gross/ fake scrambled eggs and not good coffee. After reading all the reviews, I thought this hotel would be acceptable, but was disappointed and glad we were only staying one night. I would not stay here again.

Disappointed

2nd time to stay here..1st stay was good for the price..this stay not so good..had plumbing problems and no alarm clock..front desk should have offered us another room but I was tired and made the best of it

Clean room, comfortable bed

Looks like they have done some upgrades to the room. The room and area was clean. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was good there were a few choices. The pool could use a little attention.

Cons: Staff... especially the front desk.....
The hotel was convenient as it was on route to New Mexico. The staff made the one night stay the most horrible stay I have ever had in all my travels. They made it seem as if I was an inconvenience to them... Won"t ever inconvenience then again... plenty of other hotels in the area....

Supposed to be non-smoking

My wife two children and myself stayed here one night on the way back from the grand canyon. The room was fine except it was supposed to be non-smoking, it smelt like smoke and there was an ash tray in the room. Should have asked for another room but after bring all our stuff up to the room I really didn't want to move it all again. Good breakfast the next morning.

On vacation

Pros: convenience to interstate food and shopping and gas
Cons: air conditioner to cool better.
Location: we filled car up with gas and drove 3 or 5 miles to our restaurant we wanted to eat at.
It was okay but the air conditioners didn't cool so well.

You get what you pay for. Stains on carpet, entire hotel smelled odd, tile broken in our room, bathroom faucet cracked. Hair dryer sparked out while I was using it. But the hotel staff were nice and very helpful.
