The staff was very nice.

The staff was very nice.I love the place has a restaurant and a bar connected.pool was out of service and price a little high

Suggestion on breakfast. Two kinds of cereal were combined in both dispensers and my grandkids wouldn't eat it.

Convenient and clean hotel

If you're traveling to Ames for a football game it's not a bad place to stay. Conveniently located about a 10 minute drive directly to the campus. Though there's not much to offer in the immediate area around the hotel there are plenty of great places to eat located by the campus.

I agree the price compared to Ames is hands down amazing on game days. Good hotel

Good for what you pay for, decided to go for the pool with my son, both room and water cold. Middle of November, I understand but some heat would have been nice. Big rooms, decent bathroom. Overall good stay.

Never Stay At This Motel

Pros: Nothing. All other motels were booked to the ISU/Kansas game and this was the only room we could get.
Cons: The personality of the employees. Clean linen and blankets on the bed. Update the bathrooms and furniture. Keep the door to the check-in area open.
Location: Lots of fast food places and a Walmart.
Only stay here if you are desperate for a room to sleep in. The bathroom was so outdated. The sink facet sprayed a little water in all directions. A steady stream never did come out of the facet. The blanket on the bed was filthy. Did not notice this until it was time to go to sleep. There were different kinds of stains on the blanket and it was sickening. From the check-in desk there is a door that leads to the hallway of the first floor. Around 10:30pm, we decided to go to the vending machine. The vending machine is in the check-in area and the motel locks a door in the evening so no one can get to the check-in area or the vending machines. The employee on duty had to unlock the door to this area and she was not pleased. Later we decided to go outside to our vehicle. Once again the door from the hallway to the outside was locked. The employee told us we would have to walk to one of the side doors to get outside. This is a long walk for an eldery person. After having words with the sour-puss employee, she unlocked the entry door and let us outside. The door that locked at night is also safety nightmare. If there were an emergency and people had to get out of a door close to their room they would never make it. I think the State Fire Marshall needs to investigate the locked door situation.

Loren, I am so sorry that your experience was not a positive one. I will speak with the employee that was on duty. We have changed out the linens, bedspreads, and curtains recently. We are in the process of looking at new bathroom fixtures. I will also speak with the housekeeping staff, as we pride ourselves on all of your rooms being extremely clean. Again, I am sorry for your experience.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Property is older but clean. Rooms very spacious.

Thank you for your comment. Yes, our hotel is older, however, we recently updated new linens, bedspreads, and curtains. The owners have been researching new bathroom fixtures. WE do hope that you will stay with us again when you are in Boone.

Only stay here if you plan to party

The room was big and very clean. I'm only 5'4" and had to duck to get under the shower head. It was nice to have the Mexican restaurant attached to the building. HOWEVER, we did not appreciate the VERY LOUD MUSIC coming from the night club which was also attached to the building, just on the other side of our room until 2am! If I had known about the night club, I definitely would not have stayed at this hotel and I will not recommend it to anyone.

Thank you for your review and the information. I will pass your comments and concern on to the management staff. We try to place all guests towards the north side of the building on the weekends to avoid the bar music problem. We have addressed our concerns with the lounge as they lease space from the hotel. As a blessing for the hotel, we have been sold out every weekend, therefore, we are not able to put our guests on the north end. I am sorry that the desk clerk did not inform you of our situation of being full. I do hope that you will give us another chance and please ask to be on the upper or lower level. Thank you.
