We had ants in the bathroom and a toilet that was loose. The furniture was old and very worn out. I asked for a comped night but don't know if you are in charge of that. I would not recommend this hotel.

When I checked in, I was told that my room had just been cleaned only moments before my arrival. I entered my room thinking I got the wrong room assigned, because not only had it not been cleaned but it looked as though someone was still in it until I notice the left over shoe box was empty and no suitcase was present. The bed was dirty still, the bathrooms had used towels in the tub, the trash not only had food items and waste, but bloody napkins and what appeared to possibly be remained products left in them. Needless to say I won’t be returning to this establishment likely ever again. Also the upgraded room I paid for looks like there is water damage everywhere, and is in need of a complete renovation. I wanted to like this place, stay not so far away, and stay in the AmericInn next door. They have VERY clean rooms for the price, and great breakfast options.

We liked having a bedroom. The front desk attendant was very nice but had no solutions for our problems. Our TV remote didn’t have any batteries in it, he looked in his desk but didn’t have any. Our desk chair was covering was falling apart. The swimming pool area was out of towels, attendant apologized and told me I had to go back to my room to get our room towels and then he would give us new towels for showering. The hot tub jets barely did anything. Breakfast items were out of stock, and just chaotic.

Breakfast was non-existent, staff refused to restock any items. The hot dishes were ice cold and definitely a health violation. There were no cups or plates. There was 1 heal of bread and all the juice was out. When the "attendant" finally came out of the back room. I asked if any warm food would come out or any of the items that were gone be replenished...her response was if you see it, eat it because nothing else is coming out. She was nasty and rude. She sneezed and had plemy coughs while looking at the food. She made no attempt to cover her mouth or nose. Sneeze and cough were mouth wide open! There were 90 minutes left for breakfast service. The ice machine had slime along the seal and the ice had a rancid smell. For the ridiculous amount paid per night, they should be ashamed. I had 2 stays at other Country Inn reserved for 2024. I canceled them and will never stay at one of their properties again!

Customer service was very good. The lady doing housekeeping was very nice. The rooms and hallways are pretty worn and not much attention to detail on making things look nice. It was clean enough but with the stained carpets it just felt unclean.The price point of the hotel seems it should’ve had nicer finishes.

Tired Hotel with Breakfast Staffing Issues
We paid $275-$300 per night during an Iowa State football weekend. Room was clean, but furnishings were very, very tired. Carpeting was worn, office chair shredded, and bedding thin. The first morning breakfast was decent. The second morning only cold breakfast was offered because staff didn't show. This hotel is definitely not worth the money.

We had to stand in line for check in. Only one gal checking in and was overwhelmed. When we got to our room there was something spilled on the door. I washed it off before my husband could see it. The room had an odor like it had been smoked in. Sausage and eggs in am were very salty.

The property sits at the end of a road full of hotels and I liked that it was away from the main road. Parking was ample. We had the jacuzzi suite. The room was clean and on the main floor. The ice machine was very close which was convenient. The jacuzzi itself was clean, even the jets. We had brought our own cleaner just in case, but it was fine. Shockingly, the pillows and mattress were horrible and uncomfortable. We could not get a good nights rest either of the nights we stayed. While the rest of the hotel was sufficient. I would argue that the most important part of a hotel is the bed and pillow and your sleep, and that part was severely lacking

The hotel needs a lot of updating. We did not have a shower curtain when we arrived, but when I called the front desk he immediately brought one up and out it on the shower. Our room was vey spacious. The chair for the desk was worn out and the cushion was falling apart. The chair in the living area had a stain . Breakfast was good and sitting area was small

(Long-time traveler) Easily the best hotel I’ve been in in quite a while. Excellent efficient front desk, very spacious and quiet suite. Thick walls and door. My friends were in smaller rooms and loved them also. Breakfast was delicious with “real” eggs and bacon cooked perfectly. My friends and I want to pass this way again just so we can stay here again.
