Close to the gym we needed to be at. Hot tub not working which is a bummer! Everything else was as expected, simple, plain, not over the top. Nice and reasonably priced!

Everything was good besides the housekeeping. Each morning these people tried to enter my room without my consent at 9AM while I was sleeping. I had the door locked using both locks so they couldn’t get in, but in my opinion it was weird. I had the dnd door hanger on as well but that did not stop them. Not sure what was going on with the housekeeping but everything else was awesome.

Nice location. Staff very kind. Carpet could have been cleaner. A/C-Heater was either cold or hot. No in-between. However, we did stay in subzero temperatures so that may have aided in the unit not working properly.

First of all let me say the staff were very nice and helpful, but the problem was there weren’t enough of them. The front desk was not occupied after like 7pm and yet the doors are wide open. Security issue to say the least. No one at the hotel to assist in dealing with individuals partying at 2am. Called front desk and transferred to main customer service for chain with no ability to assist. I know the breakfast at hotels can be somewhat suspect, but we previously haven’t had any issues with this hotel. Unfortunately that was not the case. Ran out of eggs and sausage both mornings we were there. Both eggs and sausages were overcooked. Waffles are always a hit! It appears there was a drastic shortage of staff which contributed to the challenging stay. With our prior track record there I would go back, but there are so many other options in Ames now that it’s obvious they have to get this situation remedied quickly.

Flight was delayed. I properly called and notified the front desk that I will be checking in after 3 AM and was assured that I could check in anytime and was assured they had left a note in their system about my late arrival. I arrived after several hours of travel and flight delays and landed at the hotel at 3:30 AM. Front desk employee said she had made my booking as a ‘No Show’ and would be able to assign a room as per my previous booking and asked me to book a new reservation as a ‘walk-in’ at a much higher rate (and I would lose the previous booking too). This was happening at 4 AM. But, I stood my ground. She made few phone calls and after a nearly 30 min wait time, gave me a room. I was so tired to sleep. No mood to even speak anything at the desk and finally crashed at 5 AM. In the morning, went down for coffee, my card did not work when returned. Had to go down and get different keys. Terrible experience overall.

Very nice, clean, quiet, and friendly staff. Spacious rooms for the price. My only issue was that there was some shoddy craftsmanship regarding the tiling work and the shower surround in the bathroom and neither hooks nor racks to hang used towels. Overall, a nice property.

Ths completely exceeded my expectations since I paid less than $100 for my stay - the room was spacious, comfortable and clean, amenities like the fridge and microwave were clean and in good condition - quiet rooms and staff was great friendly helpful and the breakfast was fresh lots of good options - good quality and the price still blows me away - $85 after taxes! I will for sure stay here again
