For example the pillows were lumpy and smelled, the bed was worn, the sofa was uncomfortable, the chairs were worn, and some of the cupboards and drawers were filled with a jumble of stuff. The restaurant was closed during our stay (because of the Bayonne festival), but the hotel was helpful in warning us in advance and recommending local restaurants that were open. Very central hotel, but quiet and peaceful, backing onto a pretty courtyard."
