Pros: Location, in an old Dutch style 'gentlemen's' house', very welcoming.
Location: Nice bakery just down the road. Tram stop a five-minute walk away.
Easy access to the centre / other places by tram. VERY polite staff.

10 minute brisk walk from the museum, but bus and tram nearby. Staff friendly and always happy to answer questions. Need generally for information pack, how to get a tram / bus, road rules, nearby restaurants and attractions. Hotel clean, rooms not huge, but big enough as out all day. No tea / coffee making facilities. Safe, Wifi, access to computer and printer and helpful staff - hassle free break.

Was a party hotel. Lots of noise until 2am.

Great location, but little beyond that was good. Washroom was cramped (the sink was over the toilet so you hand to bend down and slide into a seated position). The hotel was loud until 2am (people partying). TV off light (green light on tv, when TV is off) was bright and directly glared on to your bed. Love the location though.

Pros: People on reception very helpful. Very good breakfasts. Shuttle to airport arranged for us. Good television
Cons: Room was too cramped and cold - window very draughty. However, bed was very comfortable
Location: Near Vondel Park. Museums not too far away. Tram stop nearby which takes you to Centraal Station, museums and canals
People on reception were very helpful. Downstairs decor very good. However, room less so

Good hotel with a short 10 minute tram ride into Dam square, good facilities. Staff were blunt at times but polite. I would definitely stay again if I returned to Amsterdam.

Room exceeded expectations, just need a few tweaks

Pros: Room - oh wow
Cons: Reception's key system
Location: Vondelpark, Olympic Stadium, Museumplein, bars and restaurants.
Room Exceeded Expectations: First of all, the rooms are excellent and surprisingly so. My jaw dropped when I opened the door because it was beautiful. It was even preferable to my own bedroom in my own house. In the context of room quality and location, this place is spot on. Just need a few tweaks: 1) The hotel has old keys and insists that you leave them behind reception prior to exiting for the day. This would be fine apart from the fact that reception is small, it can only fit one member of staff working and so at peak times it gets annoying having to wait to drop off or grab your key. 2) I hired a bike from the hotel which got a flat on the other side of town. I had to take this to a bike shop to get it fixed and the mechanic mentioned it probably happened due to a highly worn tyre. As yet, I have not received the 10 Euros I spent on this back. In conclusion, This is a great place to say and I stay there again without a doubt. This is a great location and I co

OK place to stay

Pros: Nice quiet location in mixed hotel and residential area. As long as you're comfortable walking it's in a good location, we didn't use transport once.
Cons: A bottle of water or a kettle or something in the room!! Also, slightly better quality mattresses as they were a bit thin.
Location: You can get pretty much anywhere from here, check an Amsterdam guide, but I wouldn't recommend it for party animals.
10 minutes walk from Museum Quarter and Vondelpark. Very friendly and helpful staff. Be warned, very steep and narrow stairs to rooms. Rooms very basic, no bottle of water, kettle or fridge, although there is a hairdryer. Shower good. Beds ok for a couple of nights but wouldn't want to spend longer.
