Central hotel free drinks and helpful staff.

Posted Aug 29, 2015
Really good location- 20 minutes to station and 20 minutes to museums. Free drinks in lobby/bar were nice feature and snacks and cheese 5-6 pm were lovely. Rooms a little small and dark - lighting design. Breakfast good, but could be expanded in choice - bored with omelettes by end of stay.

A wonderful hotel in the center of Amsterdam. You pay for the extra goodies but they are worth it!

Wonderful hotel centrally located

Posted Aug 28, 2015
If you're looking for a great hotel with fantastic service then this hotel is for you. Just 5 short blocks from all the action, yet tucked away on a quiet canal. The hotel is full service with unlimited free alcohol and appetizers 24 hours a day. The staff went out of their way to make sure we knew where to go, what to do and helped us out when we needed assistance. Ask for Aliks and Kim who are the best staff we've ever encountered as world travelers.

Excellent location and amenities.

Posted Aug 28, 2015
Pros: Breakfast was exceptional, with food cooked to order as well as an endless buffet. Not your average continental breakfast.
Location: Endless choices of restaurants, and many coffeeshops. Beautiful views of the canals. Trams and buses very close as well.
The hotel location was ideal, walking distance to many restaurants and coffeeshops. The hotels provided complimentary drinks and food upon our arrival which was a nice surprise. The lobby of the hotel also had complimentary iPads to enjoy. The canal views were spectacular.

Very comfortable

Posted Aug 24, 2015
Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing, it was excellent
Location: Canal side, 5 mins stroll from the flower market, lots of restaurants near by.
Great location, friendly staff, comfortable bed room, great choice at breakfast and fast Wi-Fi. The free minibar and bar in the living room/lobby was a very nice touch. I would like to stay there again when I am next in Amsterdam. Can't fault it at all.

Perfect location to experience Amsterdam

Posted Aug 22, 2015
Pros: everything
Cons: Nothing
Location: The location was perfect!! Much nicer than being around Dam Square!!
Two female friends stayed 3 nights in this hotel to celebrate their retirement and we both felt that everything about it exceeded expectations. Reception staff were knowledgeable and extremely friendly. The personal touch of offering free snacks daily at 5pm and free drinks made it a nice welcome back after a busy day sightseeing!! The location is perfect. Pleasant walk along Herengracht canal leads to a lovely relaxed shopping area away from the very busy Dam Square area. Beds were so.... comfy. Already recommending this hotel to friends and family.

Definitely recommend

Pros: The staff were so helpful and polite. The rooms were modern and very clean.
Cons: Nothing! Could not have asked for more.
Location: Very central location perfect for sightseeing. Approx 20 minute drive from the airport.
Hotel was spotlessly clean and couldn't have asked for more. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Room was beautiful with a pillow menu, dressing gowns and slippers. Free strong Wifi throughout and breakfast was cooked to order in front of you. Bar area in the living room was fully stocked with soft drinks, wines and spirits all free to help yourself. Could not have asked for more and will definitely be going back :-)

Banks Mansion, Amsterdam, NL - Excellent

Posted Aug 14, 2015
Pros: We like the location, access to transportation, the breakfast, the open bar for a drink or just a bottle of water. Most of all the great staff..
Cons: The room service was not bad but I have had better.
Location: It is a short walk to several major museums. The tram outside our door Central Station. Other trams are within a couple of blocks.
Banks Mansion is ideally situated in the center of the canal ring and a short walk to museums and a convenient tram ride everything else. The staff was extremely helpful in helping us with or touring needs. For one day trip they spent over a half an hour helping us work out details and shorting out options. Never frustrated by our endless questions. They has a free self serve bar with wine, beer and some liquors. Cheese was set out late afternoons. Breakfast was amazing. A chef that made eggs and there version of waffles. Many types of breads, ham cheese, herring, salad items and each day extra items that varied. And a coffee machine that makes excellent coffee, espresso, lattes etc.

Overpriced but friendly

Posted Aug 14, 2015
CONS This hotel is not a 4 star. The general condition is poor and the rooms are small and uncomfortable. With a price of 250€ per night all this is not acceptable. PROS The staff is extremely kind
