Nice location

Posted Aug 28, 2015
No air conditioning made for an uncomfortable stay for us and the bed wasn't that comfortable either. The place is neither a hotel nor apartments per se, just a room as there were no other facilities. The best part of this place is the location and the nice people who work at the desk. The room had a good coffee maker and there is coffee and pastries in the office which was nice. The neighborhood is one of the nicest and most quiet in the city.

Buona posizione e nient'altro

Né appartamento né stanza di hotel. Doppia attrezzata per una sola persona. Lavandino otturato e riscaldamento non funzionante. Ottima posizione.

Good hotel

Had a great experience, hotel staff were friendly and accommodating. The room was excellent value for money. The hotel is situated in a very nice place that is perfect for venturing out and about Amsterdam.

Clean and tidy apartment in great location.

Posted Jul 20, 2015
Pros: Clean & tidy, spacious for Amsterdam, excellent location, helpful personnel.
Cons: If we have to mention anything, then perhaps the towels were not as thick and soft as we normally expect in a hotel.
Location: Location in the 'negen straatjes' is excellent to explore Amsterdam. Most sites are within walking distance. Plenty of shops, restaurants, cafes.
In the past we always stayed in the Pulitzer Hotel, but this time we tried something else. We were not disappointed. If you want to explore Amsterdam, and use a clean, tidy, reasonably new, good value apartment as your base, then this one is the right choice for you. On arrival, very friendly attentive receptionists explain everything you need to know and make you feel welcome. Complimentary coffee (wide selection), tea, fruit, cakes, rolls, croissants, etc. is present in the reception area during the whole day, so if you want to have a snack you don't have to go outside. Good size apartment for Amsterdam. We could easily have stayed for months, as it has all the facilities we require (spacious double bedroom with plenty of storage space, very clean bathroom, good size lounge/dining with open kitchen, big screen TV, audio system, fully stocked kitchen with full size fridge). We recommend going for breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea (appeltaart!) in the best no-nonsense restauant/cafe of Amsterdam 'Koffiehuis De Hoek' (one block over - corner Prinsengracht & Reestraat), run by Harry. We first visited this place 17 years ago, and have returned every visit to Amsterdam since. And for diner, try a burger from Burgerlijk (Runstraat), for us the best burgers we ever had anywhere in the world.

Sehr gut gelegen. Die Betten waren mir persönlich etwas zu weich. Gute Restaurants und Kneipen im unmittelbaren Umfeld.

Very nice and close to restaurants, tram, canals

Posted Jun 9, 2015
Pros: The entire staff was always available and helpful.
Cons: The stairs were quite steep and there was no elevator (lift).
Location: Museums, canal boat rides, restaurants, Anne Frank house, and the trams were all within walking distance. Great location.
The hotel was very clean, great location, good morning coffee and snacks. One drawback is that there is no elevator, and we were on the 6th level. However, suitcases were delivered to/from the room. And the room was very comfortable, with a nice bathroom. But the very best part of the entire stay were the two young men at the front desk: Don and Boy. They were, without exception, the most pleasant and helpful hotel employees I've had the pleasure of dealing with....always smiling and ready to help with suggestions, directions or whatever came up. Very enjoyable stay.

Great, but ....

Posted Jun 9, 2015
The location was wonderful, The staff was friendly and helpful, the room was spacious and well appointed, WiFI was good, there was coffee and great pastries and fruit in the office every morning..... But... be prepared to climb those steep canal house steps if your room is on one of the upper floors .. there is no lift, and, because its an apartment no daily cleaning service.... that said the experience was good and I would book again.

Good location, spacious room

Posted Jun 5, 2015
Pros: Staff, location, great coffee
Cons: the bed was way to soft
Very nice staff! Located close to city centre walking distance to major destinations, spacious room. They do not clean the room everyday, they would go once a week if you stay longer than that.
