Hotel location great, decor also nice.
On the surface the service seems good but when it came down to getting things done it was below par. A lot of talk but no action.
First complaint would be the hotel saying they would organize my hire car to be returned, but then 5 mins before It was due back reception told me they didn’t bother so I had to rush out and return the car and pay late fees & an extra nights parking fee at the hotel which is hugely overpriced.
2nd complaint would be the very high pitched buzzing noise in my room which the hotel staff insisted they couldn’t hear. I had 3 different friends who all said they could hear the noise. It was very difficult to sleep in the room so I had to have the TV on all night to mask the high pitched buzzing noise. The hotel refused to allow me to swap rooms & also said they would send up earlier plugs which never happened. I went out and bought some myself the next day.
My biggest complaint by far would be them trying to over charge me by 9000e on check out. I went over the bill with reception and they agreed that they had made a mistake and fixed the bill, which I paid on site. Only to have them charge my credit card a month later.
I am in the process with American Express on trying to retrieve my money.
Over all, a bad experience which is a shame as the hotel itself is nice, and the staff did seem friendly.
