I was told that we got upgraded to a nicer room for free, but the room was very small. Me n my frd wear small size, yet we could not walk pass each other at the same time in room. Staffs were not helpful, we stayed 2 nights yet didn't get to borrow the kettle as she said it's always not available.

I stayed at Iris Hotel for 3 nights. The staff was always very attentive and kind, the hotel is pretty close to the Metro station (7 minutes walk) so you are able to move around Amsterdam without any problem. The breakfast buffet is really good!! The hotel is pretty cleaned. The only downside of the hotel is the fact that the stairs are pretty narrow and there is no elevator; but either way I would totally recommend this hotel to any tourist!

Handy location, small rooms

Pros: It was reasonably well located and easy to get to by public transport.
Cons: Limit people from standing in front of the Hotel at night smoking.
Location: Amsterdam is pretty compact so the hotel was pretty close to the major sites and tourist areas.
Whilst the room was small, it was comfortable for our short stay and we were out and about mainly anyway. The staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast (for extra $) was reasonable. One frustration was that our room was on the lower ground floor with a window at street level where people (presumably other hotel guests or staff) would talk and smoke quite late into the night - the cigarette smell in particular was quite annoying.

Me and my boyfriend stayed here for 3 nights. It's slightly out of the centre of Amsterdam, but we enjoyed the walk in to the centre, it only takes about 25 minutes, and it's also only a few minutes on the metro. It's a nice place to stay to get out of the hussle and hussle of the centre. We were on the top floor, the stairs were a bit of a killer! I think the breakfast was a bit pricey so we didn't bother with it! Overall good hotel, would definetley stay again :)

Pros: It was cean, and a really great breakfast for 8Euro
Cons: The stairs were very steep, we had our mothers with us in their 70', next time I would get them a room at street level.
Location: Location was great no need for a car, most places was walking distance.
Room was very small but clean, location was great walking distance to all transport. Great breakfast at 8 euro, the stairs were really steep to get to bottom and top floors which made it hard with heavy luggage, wouldn't recomm for elderly people. Girl at front desk was very friendly and helpful. Would recommend in the future.

Pros: Everything
Location: Walking distance from the Heineken Experience and the Rijks Museum. Not a far walk from many wonderful restaurants.
Never have been to Amsterdam before I just took a shot at this. Great location away from all the tourists located in the Pipe. Very quaint, only had 7 rooms. Located right on the Canal. Very European feel to it which was quit nice. Very informative staff. You must try their very affordable breakfast. Very nice garden area.

Hotel iris is a lovely little hotel that is situated 5 minutes walk from a tran stop. The staff are very helpful and welcoming and the bedrooms are clean, spacious and airy. I would definitely stay at the hotel again and would personally rate it higher than a 2* hotel.
