We stayed at the family studio, it was clean, bright and warm. The stairs are very steep so had to take care with that. Well located for Vondelpark and the museums. Dining options within walking distance too. Overall, a great stay in Amsterdam.

The place is very accessible to public transportation and is still in the middle of Amsterdam. The place is clean, staff is friendly and accommodating. The area is close to some tourist attractions and is accessible to other places of interest within the area. I will recommend this place to those who travel light since they do not have the lift or elevator in the property.

Very old and bad hotel, no air condition, very small room, uncomfortable and very old bed, very bad pillows, smelly hotel, the worst is their stairs, you need to climb it as you are climbing a mountain

It seems that you mixed up Hotels, Starting July werenewed pillows and blankets which we do 2 times in the Year...Old one's are goiing to red kruis.and for the stairs, which are Normall here in Holland, you could have taken the elevator

We spent a very comfortable 3 nights in a spacious well equipped room. The decor was very tasteful, the bed very comfortable and the kitchen had everything we could possibly need.

Does the job
We enjoyed our stay, it definitely did the job. The decor is a bit odd, very much outdated. The bathroom was clean but the bedroom was heavily dusty around all edges. We booked a double bed but it was two twin beds pushed together, with no connector to keep them as one. Location is VERY good, for walking and using the tram. Lovely area, very quiet and there is a lidl just around the corner (perfect for cheap morning pastries). We had no troubles with noise or security. Beds were comfy and the temperature of the room was good. I think the location of the hotel makes up for what the room lacks. We didn't have breakfast there as it seemed expensive.

Good, but just not good enough.
The pros: Clean hotel in a good location. Comfortable beds The cons: Surge charge of 4% on all credit and debit cards that isn't a maestro No coffee available in the rooms, only a pay for coffee machine in reception. No aircon or fan in the rooms

I originally stayed in room 39 - the bathroom smelled awful - smell coming through the drain - hotel explained that this happens to this room when it rains, and kindly offered to move me to room 38 instead - better room with better layout. The Wifi in all rooms and in the lobby is horrendously slow, to the point where you can barely make a video call - drops every few minutes. At times, I could barely even edit a Google doc due to connectivity. The stairs are very steep and very hard to bring suitcases up/down. The location is great though - walking distance from many attractions - very centrally located.

The family we were given was massive and great. The passage area and lift were tiny but you get used to it. The room and bathroom must have refurbished recently.

Hotel Jupiter’s location is excellent, Aleks in reception is super nice and helpful. The room was very clean. What you need to know: area is busy, so bring earPlugs, room is very small, wifi is super weak, and often goes out.

Solo exploring in Amsterdam
Booked the same day and the hotel staff were very accommodating and friendly. The location is great near the street trams and metro and 5-10 min walking distance to all the bars and restaurants. Greta for exploring city center and just off a canal. Rooms are clean and beds were comfy.

They staff was friendly and helpful. The only annoying part was the twin bed pushed together kept separating, but it wasn't too bad. The beds themselves were very comfy.

Hotel Jupiter was very nice, clean and close to the everything (red light district, all the museum's and the local attarctions), breakfast was good too but there is a local cafe if you would like yo try something local. Definitely will recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Amsterdam.

What a brilliant hotel!! Situated not far from it city it had everything you needed... Very helpful/friendly staff, very clean, shower was amazing it also included a hairdryer/towels and the bed was so comfy. I really can’t fault this hotel at all :)

The room was clean but tiny. The sink was about 1/3 the size of a regular sink. Walk-in closets are usually larger than the room I got.

the breakfast was good. nice buffet. I will advise to add buffet to your reservation. It's unfortunate the rooms are less spacious than they look on the internet. the building is not +very +fancy but it promises all the basic necessities of a hotel

We loved this hotel! One of our favorites in all of Europe. We especially love the staff and the location. Jay at the front desk is one of our favorite people. He was very helpful in every regard. Breakfast was great and the owner was a nice guy as well. Wonderful location!

Location is amazing! Close to the city center but not too noisy. Room was spacious and clean, loved having a small kitchen as well. Paid for the breakfast, best idea ever! Would definitely recommend.

Was terrible service. The duty manaher who was there when we arrived was unwelcoming, unhelpful and very rude. Cheap hotel but wouldn't stay again because of the hotel staff both in the evening and the morning.

Attacked and kicked out of the hotel
WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE! AGRESSIVE STAFF KICKED ME OUT OF MY ROOM AND PUSHED ME AGAINST THE WALL!!! At my check in date I asked if I could extend my check out time and the guy at the reception said I could extend for 8 euros an hour. The next day, an indian guy aprox 40 years old banged on my door telling me to open the door. When I opened the door he started to get in my room super agressive kicking me out of my room “You have to leave now, go, leave, you cannot stay here anymore, your check out was 1 hour ago!”, when I tried to explain I was going to pay the 8 euros per hour like the reception guy told me he was being super rude getting inside my room with a vacuum not believing what I told him denying the guy at the reception told me that. WHY WOULD I LIE ABOUT IT? When I told him I was paying for the room and he had to wait until I pack everything, he started to pull and throw all my stuff, make up, clothes, underwear, bags, everything out of the room! I started to scream him to stop and leave but he wouldnt stop and he had fire in his eyes... I started to record him like that, and when he saw my phone he came in my direction and ATTACKED ME, PUSHING ME AGAINST THE WALL AND GRABING MY HANDS AND ARMS! YES THE STAFF ATTACKED ME! There was also another man there, which was probably the cleaner, watching everything and he didnt do anything just told me to stop recording! I am going to the police today and making a report! I am traumatised and this man ruined me.

Poor experience
Charged 4% extra for using a credit card which was not advertised in advance. No clothes hangars or anywhere to hang shirts in room. Door on toilet/bathroom missing! Impossible stairs for anyone with mobility issues - you may get up, but you won't get down! One plug socket in room - and that was four feet (over a metre) above the bed ! O, and €1.50 for a warm bottle of water. This place is really poor value for money, even if the location is not so bad.

Overall a really good place to stay
Location is good - close to the Hard Rock Cafe area. About a 30 min walk from Dam square. Buses and trams are close if you don’t want to walk. Property quite dated/traditional but had all we needed and was comfortable. VERY steep steps to the rooms but that’s just Amsterdam in general. Staff lovely and helpful.

Friendly staff but: - No soundproofing between rooms. One can hear EVERYTHING from the rooms around. - Very noisy guests (shouting and banging doors) 3 - 5 am every night for 3 nights. - Room doors are super noisy when they close (related to previous point) - No lift and the old stairs are unsafe and even dangerous.
