Friendly staff and a great location.

Posted Aug 21, 2016
The location of this hotel was perfect for exploring the city. Comfy room and even though we only booked the standard room with a queen bed we were happy with the space. Friendly staff and the street was nice and quiet at night.

Great All-round Hotel

Posted Aug 1, 2016
Great location in a quiet street near Vondelpark. The staff were excellent and no request of ours was too difficult. Close to tram stops and the Museumplein. We highly recommend staying here!

Nettes Hotel in perfekter Lage

Posted Jul 31, 2016
Ruhige, sehr angenehme Umgebung.

Good location

Posted Jul 31, 2016
Lobby was too small, only one person at reception. Helpful, not too personable. Very buisness like. Air con a bit too loud. Breakfast ok, location was great.

Dear Maryam, Thank you very much for sharing your thoughts on Expedia. We are happy to read you liked the location of the hotel. We are a small boutique hotel with only 34 rooms, therefor our lobby is not very big and we always have one person at the reception desk. It was our pleasure to have you stay at the hotel and that you enjoyed our breakfast, we do hope to welcome you back in the future. Warm regards, Mirjam - Front Office Agent.

Personnel. Incapable. Peu serviable. Service nul

Posted Jul 22, 2016
Pros: La situation. La décoration. L'intimite
Cons: Les portes qui claqués et qui font vibrer tout l'étage Avoir du personnel compétent
Location: Parfait. A 5 minutes de tout. Rue typique. Bâtiment magnifique
Aucun service pour faire les chambres durant le séjour. Minable Check out. Catastrophe. Une demi heure pour faire une addition Réception hors du temps

Great boutique hotel in perfect Amsterdam location

Posted Jul 18, 2016
Pros: The location was excellent. It was near the museums and Vondaal park. But it was close enough to the other parts of the city.
We just finished a 3-night stay at Hotel Roemer. We had two rooms (one for us and the other for our teenage kids). The rooms were adjoining, one with a balcony. The hotel is very clean. The rooms are spacious and appointed with modern and functional amenities. The bathrooms are clean and spacious. The wifi worked very well. They offer free coffee and tea. The coffee is excellent and on par with any fine coffee or espresso bar. We ate breakfast at the hotel twice and enjoyed in both times. The price was reasonable and the offerings generous and broad. The hotel staff was very attentive. We received good recommendations for local activities, outings, and restaurants. On one of our nights our child was not feeling well and the bellhop offered to go to the pharmacy to pick up some medicine for us. Now when does that ever happen? If ever we are in Amsterdam again, I don't see us staying anywhere else.

Great staff in lovely area

Posted Jul 16, 2016
Pros: Staff, location.
Cons: Minibar fridge didn't really keep things very cold.
Location: Very close to the Van Gough and Rijksmuseum, and Vondelpark. Definitely recommend hiring bikes for an hour or two to go round the park, great fun!
First time in Amsterdam and very glad I chose this hotel. Had read many reviews before booking and went with Hotel Roemer as it had a good price in a lovely area. Don't know why anyone would want to stay right in the centre of Amsterdam as the Museumplein/Leidesplein area is beautiful and the centre is still with walkin distance. We had an executive room with balcony and jacuzzi, room was nice and bed was massive!

Hotel in guter Lage im Museumsviertel

Wir waren 5 Nächte im Hotel. Das Personal war freundlich und hilfsbereit, leider war unser Zimmer nicht einem 4-Sterne-Hotel entsprechend.

Dear ms/mr C, Thank you for sharing your feedback on expedia. In hotel Roemer we strive for great and friendly service. Therefore it is a great pleasure and compliment to read your comment about our staff being friendly and helpfull. Unfortunatly I also read that the room was not fully to your liking. I would like to inform you that we have more types of rooms available in our hotel and maybe one of those would fit better to your preferences. I hope we can welcome you again in hotel roemer upon your next stay in Amsterdam. Warm Regards, Linda - Front Desk

Friendly boutique hotel close to Van Gogh museum.

Posted Jun 28, 2016
Pros: Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful right across the board. Breakfast was awesome and ran until 11am so no need for lunch! Location was ideal
Cons: Room was very cool and no heated towel rail so after a wet cycle ride it took days to dry our stuff out. Towels also removed but not always replaced.
Location: In quiet street in museum quarter. Short walk to Reiksmuseum and Van Gogh museum. Lots of interesting restaurants. Easy walk to Jordaan district.
We were on 5 day city break in Amsterdam to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. We chose Hotel Roemer because we like small hotels and it was in great location and had good reviews. It met our expectations very well. It was very well placed for all the things we wanted to do. There were tram stops nearby but actually we walked everywhere. Amsterdam itself is a lovely city, very friendly, with lots to do but equally lots of scope just to relax and watch the world go by. We had a brilliant time. A few minor points about hotel room but to be fair we didn't raise them with staff so could probably have been sorted.

Fantastic large modern room with a garden!

Posted Jun 25, 2016
My husband and I just stayed at Hotel Roemer with our 2 sons, ages 8 & 10. The room had 2 actual Queen size super comfy beds , which was a treat after our recent NYC stay . The room was large with a private small garden. I saw an amazing thunderstorm, drank wine outdoors & listened to the birds in a little oasis, all within a 15 minute walk of the city center. Great location, bed & shower. Nice & competent staff. I hope to return for a longer stay next year!
