Good for the Rijksmuseum.Posted Sep 29, 2015
Pros: The staff were very nice and friendly. Especially the young man call Youp was very efficient and a good caring manner toward to us everyday.
Cons: Some of the decor needed 'refreshing', and the breakfast was expensive (€17.50): nothing wrong with it, but also nothing special to justify the price.
Location: Easy access to museums and a quiet place.
The hotel was vey quiet place and easy access to go to the Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh museum.

Quiet hotel close to museumsPosted Sep 27, 2015
Pros: Privacy and a quite retreat.
Cons: Air conditioning a bit noisy even on low fan and light in the room - we did stay in a huge room though!
Location: Close to museum quarter, canal trips and hop on hop off bus stops.
Visited in late September on a cultural trip. The hotel is ideally suited for those who like a quiet friendly hotel in the museum quarter. We had a free upgrade to a larger room. Clean and comfortable but not very light unless you go outside into the patio area. Breakfast is very good. Other meals fine and convenient though menu limited. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Quaint hotel in convenient locationPosted Sep 23, 2015
Pros: Location, whirlpool tubs, friendly staff
We loved this hotel, from the friendly staff, to the whirlpool tubs (not available in all rooms) to the Honesty Bar and the great location. It's far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the touristy area but close enough that you can walk anywhere. We'll definitely come back here for our next visit!

Very disappointing booking!!Posted Sep 22, 2015
Pros: The concierge....and the location.....
Cons: If the room is going to be in the annex, then a guest should be forewarned, not told upon arrival.
Location: Museum district....all you need to know.
We were assigned a room in an annex across the street from the hotel. There were no amenities in the annex and the room was quite small, even by Amsterdam standards. Very disappointed. And twenty Euros for breakfast is exploitative.

Close to everything but......Posted Sep 21, 2015
Pros: Location was great! And my bed was very comfortable.
Cons: The lighting in the bathroom was terrible. Some bulbs were out. Water heater ! I had cool showers everyday, 1 hot bath only on first nite
Location: There are museums all around. There is the Bols House ....Fantastic gin! Lots of great food and the coffeeshops are fun too!!
It's a nice small quiet hotel, but i won't stay here again. Not worth the money spent . First night was my one and only time i had hot water. And the Jacuzzi did not work. The lighting in the bathroom was bad, some bulbs needed to be replaced.

Hotel Roemer, AmsterdamPosted Sep 11, 2015
Pros: Absolutely everything
Cons: Short of moving it into the Rijksmuseum, nothing.
Location: We walked to the Rijksmuseum, Liedesplein(bars and restaurants), Van Gogh Museum,Vondelpark and Canal Cruise all in under 10 minutes.
What a fantastc hotel Roemer is. The facilities, service and location cannot be bettered. The beds are extremely comfortable with quality linens and the staff, especially Irene, are very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. We walked to the Rijksmuseum, Liedesplein(bars and restaurants), Van Gogh Museum,Vondelpark and Canal Cruise all in under 10 minutes. We will return to Amsterdam and will only stay at Hotel Roemer. When you find perfection stop looking.

Excellently locatedPosted Sep 7, 2015
Pros: Well priced and located
Location: Near the museums and connectivity with the trams was excellent.
The hotel was split into two different buildings across the street from each other. Rooms were small with limited space for hanging clothes and storage of suitcases but beautifully clean and recently renovated. It was within walking distance to the Rjiksmuseum and the Van Gough museum. Being next to the Vomdelpark and being serviced by 5 tram lines was another bonus. Getting around Amsterdam could not have been easier. Limited facilities only breakfast and no concierge service .

Excellent location, friendly staff, enjoyable roomPosted Sep 7, 2015
We stayed at the executive room, with a fine king bed and a luxurious bathroom. Aircon was broken but staff apologized and the room could be well aired through the large windows. Close to everything. Rented bikes for the day which was perfect for Amsterdam, but other bike rentals are cheaper. We came with a car and took advantage of the park&ride option on the outskirts of the city and took the tram to the city. The hotel is close to the Leidseplein square and tram station. Van Gogh museum was great, and the bike ride through Vondelpark a joy, Amsterdamers relax there and we felt we were in the middle of it! Overall, we would definitely come back to Hotel Roemer, we just wished that breakfast was less pricey (we always took outside opinions). Staff was very friendly and helpful.
