Very convenient for museums and restaurants

Posted Dec 29, 2015
Pros: Location. Good buffet breakfast.
Cons: Wet room style shower room could've had a step or a shower tray so that whole bathroom floor wasn't swamped. Attractive basin, but not very practical.
Location: .
Perfect location for our mini break. Short walk to Galleries, and close to many nice restaurants and bars.

Dear Alex, It is a great honor to read that you spent some good time at Hotel Roemer. The location of the hotel is ideal whether you are here on a business trip or a leisure one, as it is centrally located and also close by to some of the main touristic attractions in the city. We are so sorry to read though about the inconvenience with the bathroom. This is definitely not what we are striving for in terms of quality. Please accept our sincere apologies and rest assured that we take your review very seriously. Kind regards, Team Hotel Roemer

Lovely Hotel convenient location

Posted Dec 14, 2015
Pros: The room was great and the beds very comfortable. Facilities in the room were also very good. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
Location: The Hotel is ashort walk to most of the major/useful tram lines. Close to the Museum area and a short walk to good Restaurants and Bars and the Centre
At the start we were offered a room upgrade which we did accept as we were told the rooms we had booked were very small. the rooms we took were excellent and I felt happy with the upgrade (although part of me wandered if it was a bit of a trick). This aside I have to say the hotel was excellent. The Hotel is of a good standard but also has a nice relaxed feel about it.

Location: Rijksmuseum et musée Van Gogh
Chambre beaucoup trop petite et mal aménagée avec salle de bain mal isolée, froide et même glaciale.

Dear Paul, Thank you very much for your stay with us and sharing some thoughts. My apologies to read that this was not fully to your expectations, we offer several different roomtypes ranging in size, however a comfortable temperature in the bathroom should be included in all of them. I hope nonetheless to be able to welcome you back some day and accommodate you in a comfortable room. Best regards, Youp Bimbergen - Hotel Manager

Pleasant stay

Posted Nov 5, 2015 on Hotels
Our stay at Hotel Roemer was pleasant. I wanted a small hotel not a big impersonal hotel. The staff were really lovely and helpful. It is a very stylish boutique hotel. There were a couple of things that made may have lost it some points though. The room was small, which I knew in advance that wasn't an issue, however the TV was impossible to watch comfortably from the bed. They need to update the tv wall bracket so that you can enjoy some tv while having a lazy morning or relaxing after a long days sight seeing. The other issue was that breakfast is really pricey and I didn't realise it would add 75 euros to the end of our stay. While it was nice, I would have gone out for breakfast having known this.

Great staff and location

Posted Nov 3, 2015 on Hotels
We checked in very early and they made a room available right after we arrived. The location was the best for seeing the museums, going to great restaurants and catching a canal ride by walking short distances. Many of our friends stayed elsewhere around the city and they missed out on seeing things. We enjoyed talking to the staff who were most helpful in seeing the cites and catching trams.

Warm and Friendly Staff

Posted Nov 2, 2015
We stayed for 3 nights at the end of Oct 2015 and had a great weekend. We were a little stressed and frustrated on arriving late on the Friday evening after having been duped by a taxi driver (only use registered, definitely check). The girl on the front desk was really friendly and made us very welcome, on checking us in she gave a free upgrade to a King size room which was unexpected. She also gave us loads of advice and guidance about where to visit and using a map drew out directions ect. The room was big and clean with a big bed, minibar, tv ect. The bathroom was also large with a huge bath and separate shower ideal after hours of walking around the city. The negative was the smell, at times there was a strong sewer smell that lasted for a few mins at a time that occurred periodically throughout our stay. In fairness to the hotel we didn't report it as we only spent time in the room when we were exhausted and the size outweighed the awful smell.

Phenomenol Hotel!

Posted Oct 31, 2015 on Orbitz
My husband and I had a great stay at the Roemer Hotel in Amsterdam. The hotel was very easy to find (in a city where locations can be notoriously difficult to find). We had a very nice room on the 1st floor. The room was small (typical for Europe), but very comfortable. There were multiple seating areas, in addition to the beds. The beds were two separate bed (a set-up I love) and were very comfortable. However, the best feature of the room was the bathroom. The decor was amazing and it was so nice to have a hot tub, especially since it rained nearly the whole time we were there. There were several grocery stores within close proximity and the area was near an area with a lot of bars, cafes, restaurants, etc., but the hotel itself was on a nice, quiet street. I would definitely recommend this property.
