Very close to the train station and shops. Walkable to central Amsterdam. Tram stops very close as well. Staff very friendly and helpful. Very clean and comfortable room.

Staff were pleasant. We stayed on the top floor. There was plenty of road / tram noise, but that can be forgiven given the central location. Also some building work at / adjacent to the hotel. Communal areas were well maintained. The room itself was dated. Plenty of dirty marks on the wallpaper and footstool. A cracked Velux window. The fixtures were essentially clean, but everything seemed like it needed refreshing and repainting.

Accommodations were perfect for an overnight stay. Check-In and Check-Out was smooth. Front desk was extremely helpful and friendly. Conveniently located within walking distance of Amsterdam Centraal. Most of my destinations were all within walking distance, so bonus. Surrounded by pubs. Breakfast buffet was great for the go, but had many options. Room was clean and WiFi worked. The only slight issue I had was the room was very cold. I returned very late and made the mistake in assuming it would’ve gotten warmer, but it didn’t. I should’ve called front desk immediately. Just stating for awareness. Overall I would recommend and stay again.

Our room was compact in size, had an excellent shower, comfortable bed with nice bed linens. Staff at front desk were very helpful. Breakfast was plentiful and staff in breakfast room were very friendly. Good location to walk everywhere.

We were in the last room in the basement, there was a sliver of a window to air raise, so there was little natural light to the room. The lighting to the room was pretty fully, with blinking led lights, to overall insufficient lighting in the room, made the room even dingier than it might actually be. The beds were squeaky, the room tiny, and the hair dryer worked for about 2 minutes before it died. The rain shower is poorly matched with the shower space, so the water gets all over the bathroom floor. I do not recommend this hotel, unless all you care is being close to the Amsterdam Centraal station.

I did a week's long trip around Europe with my girlfriend and we decided to make the Ibis Central Station the last hotel before our flight on the day after. If you are a light sleeper, please do not stay at this hotel given it's extremely noisy and faces the streets where the Tram goes through. Additionally, one of the guests at the hotel decided to smoke a cigarette at 12 am which triggered the emergency alarm at the whole property. I was not able to fall back asleep until 5 am and overall did not have a great experience when complaining to the front desk. I hope the managers would be sympathetic to guests and offer compensation for missing the basic principle of a hotel: to guarantee a safe and restful night to their guests.

Central location
The hotel is very central and a great place to start your many walks. Staff friendly and helpful. Rooms are small but have what you need for short stays. Restaurant attached had very good food and prices.

The location of this hotel was perfect from central station. We arrived early to check in and the staff was very accommodating, and continued to be so throughout our stay. They organized transportation when we needed and were very friendly and informative. Hotel was clean and quiet despite being in a busy location. Would recommend!

Close to Centraal station which is great, but close to what feels very seedy. Front staff was great, room was clean but just. Small room and limited services. Max stay 1 night if you just want an ok place close to the train station. Not a nice area to walk around or eat.

Marathon stay
Stayed with my wife for the marathon. Great location central to restaurants and bars. Ideal for getting the metro to the start line and expo for the marathon.

Exactly what we expected. It’s a small room (room 123) but very quiet and clean. Could only find one outlet in the entire room, though! Nice reception from Pieter(forgive me if I misspelled his name). Very close to the train station.

Great location! Staff were very accommodating, had a hot water issue that the staff corrected at first available open room. Room was on Main Street but could hear very little from street activity. Would definitely stay there again.

Small room with steps into the room and a step down into the bathroom. Noisy on the 1st floor with trams passing. Wall paper scuffed and tape hiding marks on wardrobe. Wardrobe not deep enough to hang shirt without touching the bottom.

I love everything about my stay. Great view, very comfortable bed, super front desk associates! Super nice, super polite, super helpful. I love this place. I highly recommend this hotel. When I visit Amsterdam again I am staying there!
