Room was ready at check-in. Beautiful restored building. Room was very quiet which is very important to me. Room was a tad warm, no air conditioning due to the age 1901 of the building, my window would not open, so the staff brought me a large fan, which made sleeping bearable.
Arrived on the chaotic King's day but the hotel immediately gave us a calming effect. All the staff are exemplary, the room has a complimentary mixture of old world charm and ultra modern amenities. Location allows us to walk to major museums and many restaurants/ shops
The main reason people may choose the Okura, is the extraordinary gourmet experience on offer in the hotel's Michelin Star restaurants; but the quality of service is what lingers in the mind - the staff are unfailingly pleasant and helpful, nothing is too much trouble (strict Japanese standards prevail) ...
Great hotel slightly outside all of the hustle and bustle of Dam Square and the Red light district. Close enough to walk everywhere, quiet enough for a good night's sleep. Try the Moscow mule in the bar
Reason for my visit was business. Hotel location is incredible. My room had ironing which is very useful. Only missing thing can be consumable in bathroom. I expect toothpaste and such from this caliber.
I checked in early and was told my room would not be ready until 3pm. But if I would allow them to upgrade me to an apartment I could have it immediately! I was upgraded to a beautiful apartment that probably cost 3X what I was paying. Very clean and comfortable. The staff was very accommodating ...
First off the design of both sides is stunning, found the conceirge & doormen to be extremely helpful with directions, recommendations etc. WET and The Spa was amazing as was the staff. Room was very comfortable, quiet and clean. Only issue was we couldn't get the room cool enough. Would stay here ...
It is a beautiful place, and the concierge and reception staff are nice. However, rooms are quite small & noise from the canal is loud on sat night (thin windows?) and woke my wife and I up several times (in our 50s). Food at the canal side restaurant is good but staff are a. It inattentive (inexperienced?). ...
