Uncomfortable and OverpricedPosted Jan 4, 2016
Pros: The location is near the train station for easy access to the airport. It was easy check-in and check-out. The lobby was much nicer than the room.
Cons: Fix the heating in the winter; make the bathroom safe, and have a real shower curtain; put mattresses that aren't hard on the beds; add more lighting.
Location: It is right across from the central train station and is right next to the Red Light District; also lots of international restaurants nearby.
The hotel is in a historical building, so understandably it's not in perfect condition, but for the price, the room we were given was in poor shape. It was in the 30's (degrees Fahrenheit) during the two nights we stayed here, and the heating did not work the entire time. We told the front desk that our heating was not working and they never sent anyone to fix it, despite saying they would. Luckily the duvet on the bed was warm enough with full sleeves and pants pajamas on as well, but the bed was rock hard and uncomfortable - on the plus side it was actually a double/queen size bed and not two twin beds pushed together like much of Europe. The lighting was also terrible inside the room, as only half of the lights worked, and none fully lit the room (which had stairs from the door and bathroom up to the bed/desk area. The bathroom was the only warm part in the entire room as it was newly added. While the bathroom had new and modern features, the bathtub was terribly dangerous; you had to step extra high into it, and it had no handles or much to grab except a wiry towel rack and a massive slab of glass for a shower curtain that only covered 1/3 of the tub, so that when you had the shower running, water went all over the floor. So once you were trying to leave the high shower, without a handle to grab, you had to step onto a wet, marble floor and try not to slip. They did have an anti-slip mat in the tub at least.

Tutto davvero impeccabile.

Excellent central location. Convenient for stationPosted Dec 17, 2015
Pros: Location and atmosphere. I took the public shuttle bus from the airport but in the future I will take the train as the hotel is so near the station.
Cons: There is a refurbishment plan in place for 2016.
Location: The location is close to the Centraal station, China town and Dam square. Only 250 metres from the sightseeing bus and canal tour departure points.
Warm welcome. Given choice of room, quiet or with a view. Chose room in old part of the hotel with a view over the street to the Centraal Station. From the room could see the station and the departure point of the sightseeing bus. Both were very close to the hotel and well within walking distance for someone like myself with mobility difficulties. Excellent advice on places to eat locally or in the hotel itself. Hotel served a lovely buffet breakfast.

Non e' un 5 stelle, a malapena 3.Posted Dec 14, 2015
Stanza carina ma un po' datata negli arredamenti. Letto comodo e spazioso. Grosso problema, il riscaldamento in stanza non funziona nel migliore dei modi. Stanza fredda !

The Perfect Hotel For Your Stay In AmsterdamPosted Dec 13, 2015
Just across the road from the Centraal Station and a short walk from all the sights, close to restaurants, shops & museums. Fantastic staff. We had a couple of issues which were dealt with perfectly, immediately. Brilliant!

Stay from 28th to 30th Nov 2015Posted Dec 2, 2015
Pros: Staff and food.
Cons: Décor in the rooms
Location: Too much to do; would take months!
The hotel and staff are excellent; the only thing it needs, is to be spruced up a bit. The rooms need bringing out of the 1980's; just a lick of paint would do it. Breakfast was excellent, as was the bar. Would stay here again; would just like to see the change of colour scheme.
