I can't recommend this hotel. They have a problem with mosquitoes - I have the bites to prove it - and birds that can enter your room and leave droppings on the carpet and window sill. In the end I checked out early. The hotel is also situated in a noisy area, especially at night. Overall not a great experience, although the breakfast buffet was fine.

I loved the price of this property, especially since it is cheaper than hostels. It sells transportation cards at the front desk and also offers great deals on bikes. It has an indoor restaurant and friendly staff! The only thing that was a downside was that you had to take transportation to all of the areas of Amsterdam that you would go to- which was fine with my group because of the tram stop only being a 10 minute walk in a light area. Do not let the outside of this hotel fool you! The inside is super cute, a little different in the way that each floor is spread out a bit weirdly. There is also a few super markets nearby, and also a bunch of shops- just 15 minutes away. I would recommend going to Jacksandwaffles- it is a cute brunch/drink place that is 5 minutes from the hotel.

This is an amazing place to stay while in Amsterdam! Even though it is not near the city center/downtown area, the environment and areas around are amazing and just gorgeous! The surrounding buildings are great as well, considerably near from the bus and tram stops. The staff is very knowledgable, helpful, you even have the option to buy the transportation tickets (valid for bus, tram and internal trains) in the front desk, you can rent power outlet adapters from US or UK to EU and even the posiblity of renting a bike. Absolutely, a marvelous place to stay. Oh and the food... GOOD!
