Beautiful Spot & Very Helpful & Warm Hotel Staff

Posted Aug 23, 2016
Pros: See above
Cons: The gym is not a serious gym, but is serviceable.
Location: Location is my favorite - on a classic canal, in the Jordaan - a few steps away from the Anne Frank House, and walkable to most parts of the city
We were moving our 20 year old daughter to Amsterdam - with all that that entails. We shipped some of her bags in advance, and the Concierge staff received the bags, stored them and notified me of their arrival before we got there. Over the several days of our stay, the hotel staff could not have been more accommodating: from storing luggage, arranging vans to transport it all, preparing a "go bag" of early breakfast when headed to immigration, to making dinner arrangements - they could not have been more helpful - all while being extremely pleasant and warm. The food was good, the wine list (by the glass) great, and the rooms were well appointed. Location speaks for itself. A great experience. thanks!

Albergo gradevole in posizione centrale.

Posted Aug 22, 2016
Pros: La posizione centrale.
Cons: Mi è stata assegnata una camera sotto il tetto molto piccola e scomoda.
Location: Buona posizione a due passi dal centro.
Albergo gradevole in posizione centrale. Mi è stata assegnata una camera sotto il tetto molto piccola e scomoda. Dalle finestre si vedevano solo le tegole dei tetti. Struttura elegante, ma la camera che mi è stata assegnata era un sottotetto infelice.

Good position for getting around town

Posted Aug 16, 2016
Pros: Nice position
Cons: Bathroom need more units to put things on
Location: lovely location, a short walk from from most highlights
We had a great time, good boat ride through canals from hotel, a complimentary drink on board would have made it more special. Nice quiet position at night. The bathroom need somewhere to put things on, nowhere to put clothes, a few more shelves would have been handy. Bed very comfy.

Lovely hotel

Posted Jul 30, 2016
Pros: Beautiful rooms Staff Location
Cons: Some outside space...but believe that will be available soon A door between the bar and the rooms
Location: Close to Anne Frank house...and a lovely church that you can climb over 100 steps to get lovely views of Amsterdam
We loved the location of the Pulitzer, while close to Anne Frank house and transport links,it was not as busy and loud as other areas and you could leave the hotel without immediately having to dodge bicycles! Room was lovely, the shower was fabulous, although no canal view and maybe a little closer to the bar than was ideal, but we had got the room on a great deal and was upgraded too.Yes,I would pay the extra for the view, but don't exclude the cheaper rooms if you want the luxury of a 5* hotel for a few less euros. Unfortunately whilst we were there the was work in progress, which affected the only thing we missed which was some outside space. The staff were all very polite and helpful We also went on the hotel's canal trip which was lovely and full of information

Dear Susan, How kind of you to take your valuable time to share your experiences with us on Expedia. It is indeed correct that we are renovating the Prinsengracht-side of the hotel, including our inner gardens. On the 15th of August, the renovation will be completed and we will open the Prinsengracht-side for the public, as well as our beautiful gardens. The location of Pulitzer Amsterdam is perfect to explore the city, nearby many main attractions and great restaurants. Furthermore, I am happy to read that you loved the room you stayed in. Including the spacious, fabulous shower! Your wonderful words regarding the staff will be shared within the team. It would be a pleasure to welcome you back again in the future. Four days in Amsterdam

Posted Jul 28, 2016
Pros: The individual rooms, the layout of the Hotel, front of house staff, and location. Very quiet, hardly saw other guests.
Cons: n/a
Location: Plenty to do and see - just get a map, good guide book and you can't go wrong!
Great stay at the Pulitzer Hotel in Amsterdam - nothing was too much trouble. The staff were very friendly, accommodating and welcoming at all times, especially the Reception and Front Door staff. We took the opportunity to view the surrounding area on the Pulitzer's boat - very enjoyable and, although having been to Amsterdam previously, we found it informative.
