Zentral gelegenes HotelPosted Sep 27, 2015

Very central hotel- great for exploringPosted Sep 21, 2015
Pros: Location and the breakfast
Cons: Room a little bit sad - could do with sprucing up.
Location: Brilliant location just off dam Sqaure - loads to do nearby.
An old theatre, this hotel has a very interesting and quaint central lobby. The rooms are in something of a warren, but this is probably because the hotel itself spreads over about three old buidings. Howver, there is a lift, which makes things a bit easier. The room was a good size and quite comfortable, but I have to say it was rather dark - one small window, facing an inner courtyard. There was a large shower room -good! - though I found the shower a little tricky - hard to regulate the water tem[erature. Great breakfast in the morning!

Really enjoyed our stay at the RhoPosted Sep 10, 2015
Quirky, interesting hotel based around what used to be a theater. Comfortable room , with good space. Everything was clean and worked. The staff were very helpful and cheerful. Breakfast was excellent for a three star hotel. Our room was at the back and was a little noisy on Friday and Saturday night.

Well-situated and reasonably-pricedPosted Aug 30, 2015
Basic but comfortable room with walk-in shower. A hotel with friendly staff and a great breakfast bar if you want to load up for the day. Conveniently located for just about everything. Check out the Green House round the corner for a great coffee-shop.

Hotel hypercentre d AmsterdamPosted Aug 21, 2015

Very pleasant and centrally located hotelPosted Aug 19, 2015
Pros: location, location, location, the staff, the big lobby, the nice sized rooms, the breakfast
Cons: The wi-fi was disappointingly poor. The TV had only 1 English channel - BBC news (boring). What about FOX news/CNN or a movie/comedy channel?
Location: The location was 10/10. Most places are in walking distance including lots and lots of fast food/restaurants, a big supermarket and the tram.
After reading other travelers' comments about the Rho hotel, I decided to book it for my family for 7 nights. I am so happy I did. We were able to take the train from the airport to the central station in Amsterdam and we walked to the hotel. It is right in Dam Square which in my opinion is the place to be. The reception staff was always smiling and helpful. Every morning I went over my planned itinerary with Christian or Izabella. They gave us lots of good suggestions. Our room was a nice size and our children were given a room close by us. Their room was a bit different but we were all satisfied. I was surprised and a little upset that there was no air conditioning in the room, but I realized the first night that it just wasn't necessary. Our breakfast was a variety of breakfast foods that was constantly being refilled and warm. The staff immediately cleaned the table after guests left and prepared it for the following ones. Every morning they even brought hot chocolate for the girls! I would definitely stay in the Rho Hotel again on my next visit.
