Pros: The room, friendly staff and reasonable price.
Cons: Improve the pillows.
Location: Cannot comment on that. I had business to take care at the airport, then I had to take the train to another city, that's the reason why I chose it.
Nice hotel, conveniently located close to the airport, with a free comfortable shuttle that goes back and forth to the airport. Highly recommended if you are required to stay close to the airport for whatever reason.

Stylish and comfortable - good amenities

Lovely modern room which was cleaned thoroughly each day. bed was large and comfortable. Great gym and one of the best spa areas in a hotel of its kind - felt like a real treat and was s lovely addition to the holiday. Breakfast expensive (over 20 euros each) which is a shame and no convenience stores near by so plan ahead for breakfast/dinner wtc if not shelling out on hotel food. Quite a distance from Amsterdam centre. We didn't mind this as transport is so efficient. The best route we found was to take the free shuttle back to Schipol airport (10 mins) and then direct train to Amsterdam centre (20 mins). C easy. On the whole we felt sacrificing a central location for the lovely amenities (gym, spa) at a reasonable price was right for us. However if people want to spend longer in the city centre (ie out at night) trac options probably become more limited

Nettes Hotel mit guter Anbindung zum Flughafen

Das Personal war sehr professionell und freundlich. Die Ausstattung des Zimmers war sehr angenehm, nicht zu viel und nicht zu wenig. Der kostenlose Shuttle - Service war super praktisch. Wir sind mit dem Auto angereist und haben direkt vor dem Hotel einen kostenlosen Parkplatz gefunden. Mit dem Shuttle-Service kamen wir schnell am Flughafen an wo wir direkt Anschluss zu der Bahn nach Amsterdam Centraal hatten. Dieser Service ist super gewesen da Parkplätze in Amsterdam Mangelware und überteuert sind. Die Wellness-Eunrichtung war auch ganz passabel, da es dort nicht überfüllt und angenehm ruhig war. Das Einzige was uns etwas störte, war der Schimmel in den Ecken über der Badewanne und die sehr hohen Preise für das Essen (Für den Preis den man bezahlt, bekommt man wenig geboten). Aber alles in allem war der Aufenthalt im Hotel weitgehend zufriedenstellend.

Nicht zu empfehlen, trotz der 4 Sterne

Pros: Zugegebenermaßen war das Zimmer sehr sauber, und die Reinigungskraft tat ihren Job mehr als gut. Und das Hotel hatte einen kleinen Pool
Cons: Nein?
Location: Auf der falschen Seite des Flughafens (Shuttle nötig), wo leider nichts ist. Man kann da nichts machen
Zuerst einmal hatte der Shuttle-Service vom Flughafen Verspätung. Dann war die Fahrt relativ lange (15min), obwohl viele der Hotels sogar in Geh-Reichweite waren. Das Steigenberger ist zwar ein Flughafenhotel, liegt aber leider auf der komplett anderen Seite des Flughafens, etwa am Ende der Landebahn. Zum Zimmer: auf den ersten Blick ok, nachts bemerkten wir, dass wir unsere Zahnpasta vergessen hatten. Erwartet hätten wir, dass es im Bad welche gäbe, aber nein, ich musste bei der Rezeption nachfragen (telefonisch), und dann noch selbst runtergehen um sie zu holen. Außerdem bemerkten wir, dass unser Doppelbett, wie bestellt, keines war, sondern zwei Betten zusammengeschoben. In der ersten Nacht hat uns das noch nicht gestört, aber in der zweiten fiel meine Begleiterin dazwischen. Was am schlimmsten war, war das nicht vorhandene WIFI. Beim Check-In am späten Nachmittag war es noch benutzbar, abends kam ich nicht ein Mal mit dem Computer ins Netz. Ich würde es keinem meiner Freunde empfehlen, sondern lieber eines, was näher an der Verkehrsanbindung liegt

Fantastic hotel

Fantastic hotel on the far side of the airport. The shuttle works great and is a quick free link to get to the train station at the airport. The rooms are very quiet and spacious. The staff looks after us just wonderfully. The only draw back was the lack of restaurant choices but with the shuttle it was very easy to get to other places to eat. You are just a short train ride to the city center.

Wonderful Amsterdam airport hotel

Pros: Exceptionally clean, hotel staff spoke good English and was courteous. Near AMS airport and appreciated being able to make in room coffee & tea.
Cons: Perhaps include the frequency of the airport shuttle for arrivals.
Location: There is not much to do around the hotel. It's located in an airport services area. It's fine for just an overnight stay.
My husband and I stayed overnight at the hotel and found it well situated by Schipol airport. The airport shuttle was regular and on time. Very clean hotel with coffee/tea making facilities. It even had a indoor pool if you had time to use it.

So close but the internet let it down

Pros: The restaurants and the staff were excellent.
Cons: The 'free' wifi was non-existent during the day and evening. That needs to be improved.
Location: Not a lot to do nearby as it's on the outskirts of Schiphol airport well away from the terminal itself, (10 mins in transfer mini bus).
On paper this hotel should have been fantastic, and in the most case it was good. Staff were excellent, in the reception, bars and restaurants. The room was exactly what I would expect from a hotel, with a nice comfortable bed and powerful hot shower. What would put me off recommending this hotel is the internet. I was there on business and needed to do emails and download a couple of files - nothing too large. The internet was painfully slow and continually dropped out completely. I had a lot of work and I woke up at 4am worrying about it. I gave the internet another try and at that time it actually worked! I think it must have been the volume of users on the network that prevented it from working earlier in the day. That's my concern with free wifi with no option to pay for an upgraded service. Everyone jumps on the free network then it becomes un-usable. If this can be improved, then I'd happily return and recommend this hotel.

Fantastic hotel with spa

The spa is very good, and completely free; except for massage and solarium. The gym facilities are small but very well equipped and the fact that you can ask for a personal trainer is a great added value. The swimmingpool is small but big enough for a bit of movement, and the sauna facilities are excellent. The room was big enough and with amazing little comforts, like a built in laundry line from which I hung my swimming suit to dry; and coffee-tea making facilities. International televission and free internet connection made my life a lot simpler, and although I didn't use any of the restaurants or room-service, the offer seems good enough. Although the fee for the room-service was a bit too expensive, at 10 euro... which was more expensive than the dish I wanted to order, and that put me off. The transfer from the airport was surprisingly simple, since there is no information about it whatsoever anywhere; but I still managed to find the right stop without problem, just by following the signs at the airport. Overall, a very good experience, good value-for-money ratio; and something I would gladly do again.
