The hotel was clean and tidy. The staff went out of their way being friendly. The hotel is simple and the rooms are small. however the beds were fine and the atmosphere great

Disappointing

Posted Apr 2, 2017 on Hotels
Hotel Isis was a great disappointment! Located in the most shabby of localities surrounded by shady characters! The room was in the attic with the roof beams so low. I could not get into the bed from one side. It was necessary to climb 4 flights of very steep and narrow stairs; thankfully I only had an overnight bag. Although not expensive in general terms it was still over priced. Maybe OK for backpackers but not mature adults

Very close to town center (10 - 15 min walk/ferry). Cheap. And for that price it was excellent. Friendly staff.

Great budget hotel in a quiet part of town, but conveniently located close to the ferry to central station and into the main part of town. Super polite and helpful staff, would highly recommend for a low maintenance, low fuss hotel.

Small hotel in a very quiet zone. It is near the ferry station to cross to the city. The ferry is free and operates 24h. You can rent a bike in the hotel for 18 euros the day or 14 euros per 3 hours. The hotel does not have parking but there is plenty of free parking nearby. The breakfast must be ordered the night before and cost 8 euros. The breakfast includes bread, jam, cheese, juice, coffee, egg and is not a buffet, is a fixed menu.

Great location. Parked car at hotel and walked to free ferry ride to Central Station. Breakfast at hotel was inexpensive and great, both for quality and service. Staff super helpful. Would definitely stay here again on my next sightseeing trip to Amsterdam.

Decent stay

Overall very nice stay. Quiet and peaceful neighborhood. Friendly reception. Just the fourth floor is a bit of a hike, and the bathroom shower door seems missing. Love the ferry ride. A great turkey restaurant next door. May not be as central as some other hotels but pretty convenient. Happy with the choice and will stay there again!

Pros: The location was ideal and the parking situation made things easier.
Cons: Tell people that it costs ten euros for parking per day and do not advertise it as free.
The location was great. It was a five minute walk to the free ferry which ran about every 7 minutes to the Red Light district and the ferry goes 24/7! The parking at the hotel IS NOT FREE, it is 10 euros per day. You can find free parking 200 meters away for free though and the walk is not too bad. When we first got to the hotel the staff was friendly and spoke multiple languages such as English, Dutch, and Russian, ect. Our room was on the fourth floor so keep that in mind that you have to carry your belongings up stairs. Overall it was a decent hotel with a good location if you have a car.
