Quiet location!

Nice and quiet location - beautiful canal view! The front desk staff were wonderful and so was the concierge! The breakfast at Roberto’s was amazing and the little shops with very nice and unique gifts added a nice touch!

Reception staff not 5 star

Cons: Reception staff.
Comfortable room, extortionate mini-bar! Breakfast superb, as were the breakfast staff. Reception staff sadly inexperienced and bumbling. Made the check in and out process more like a 2 start budget type of hotel rather than 5 star. Wouldn't stay again.

Hilton, Amsterdam - a memorable trip

The hotel is sited in a very nice residential area, next to a canal, thus it is quiet and safe. It is also convenient and within walking distance to key things; about 15 mins to Amsterdam Zuid station, 5-7 mins to no5 &24 tram stop in Gerard van der Veen straat, 10 mins to Vondelpark & 12 mins to the Museumplein. There is a nice veranda area overlooking the canal, which must be pleasant on nice days (was not so great whilst we were there. The bar area also looked pleasant. Breakfast in the restaurant was good and the service efficient - it never seemed to be busy or rushed so a pleasant ambience. We did not have dinner in the restaurant so cannot comment on that. Amsterdam itself is a pleasant, spacious city - it never seemed 'manic' nor heaving with people like some other cities. A unique place with a unique atmosphere and something for everyone. The public transport system appears very efficient too.

Absolutely fantastic!

Pros: Staff, it was very clean, the food was superb and the location was excellent.
Cons: Nothing.
Location: Close to cafes, shopping and museums.
We throughly enjoyed our short stay and would stay there again next we venture to Amsterdam. It was clean, comfortable and the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. We loved the Hilton Amsterdam. Plus, this is wher John Lennon stayed. What more could you ask for.

Friedly staff, nice location, and spotlessly clea

Pros: cleanness, helpful staff
Cons: make the room resistant to the passage of sound.perhaps layering of sound proofing material
Location: nice area, close to city centre by 30 minutes walk.
I and my wife stayed two nights at the hotel, and enjoying our stay until the second night we could not sleep the whole night following sleep deprivation day after due to noisily snoring from the next room which kept going for the entire night as it appeared that there was no soundproofing material between the room. That's you don't expect from a 5* hotel .
