From the warm and welcoming greeting on arrival to the gracious send off at departure, the hospitality of this hotel is the very best of the many in which we have stayed in Europe at New Year's over the past 20 years. Everyone, including wait staff in the dining areas and housekeeping staff, offered to help at every juncture and also showed genuine interest in whether we were happy and our expectations were being met. Although the hotel's location is not in Amsterdam center, it is close to the train and the metro and familiar to all Uber and taxi drivers. The rooms are spacious (we had three rooms for our family) and the bedding was perfect (an amazing statement from a picky sleeper). The workout area captured the attention and time of our young adult sons. Our only negative comment...the breakfast, although expansive, was not as satisfying as we would have hoped. That being said, the area was perfect for a relaxed morning meal with our fellow travelers. Our Amsterdam experience was positively skewed by this nice hotel...we will be influenced to return to the city sooner with the prospect of more overnights in Crowne Plaze Amsterdam South. Oh...the hotel bar was hopping each night, particularly on New Year's Eve. The view of the city fireworks from our upstairs rooms well past midnight could not have been better. Impressive!

We arrived at the hotel and checkout was very quick and staff were friendly. Reception is 24/7 and the staff are very knowledgable and recommend places to go, and give information on the best way to get there.
The hotel is around 10-15 minutes away from the hotel, and cost us about €25. Taxis are expensive but it's the best way to get from the airport to the hotel.
The hotel is about a 10 minute walk to the nearest tram station and a 15 minute walk to the nearest train station. It doesn't sound a lot, but when it's raining and very cold it's a bit of a trek. If you're visiting in the summer, bikes are available to rent for €16 per day, and motorbikes (scooters) are available for €65 per day. It takes around 30-40 to central station on the tram.
The room we had was lovely and very modern. The room and corridors smelt very new, so I think the hotel has been done up recently? The room was a little on the small side but a perfect size for two people. The bed was massive, and the decor was lovely. The room had a safe, wardrobe, TV, air con and an en suite which had a sink, toilet and bath/shower.
We didn't get breakfast so not sure what this is like. We got room service which was nice but nothing special (pepperoni pizza). Staff were very friendly and room was cleaned everyday.
Overall this hotel was lovely with great facilities and very friendly staff. However it is quite far out of the centre and this should be considered when thinking about where to stay.

Chose hotel mainly because it's location was good for my purposes. The room was quite spacious and has everything needed for a short stay. Bed is comfortable by hotel standards and heard very little noise external or internal until 7.25am when a pile driver started up on the construction site outside across the street.
Bear in mind that the fridge is only stocked with 2 bottles of water and that only soap is provided in the bathroom. Some have complained about room temp. but I found it warm enough, although the weather was mild for Amsterdam in January. Breakfast was not outstanding but perfectly adequate with lots of choice and unlimited freshly squeezed orange juice.
My checkout took less than 30 seconds including placing a bag in storage.

B and B Amsterdam is in a neighborhood a short walk and easy tram ride to many major sites. Paul is very helpful; explains upon arrival the daily workings of the B and B as well as how to get around Amsterdam. We had a garden view room with private bathroom. The room and bathroom were very clean. The breakfast delivered each morning was perfect. Chocolates in the evening delicious! We stayed seven nights. The room was a bit small. I would ask for a larger room in the future. Overall a Great Place to Rest in Amsterdam!!
