bathroom pipes were noisy and acoustics were poor. noise from halls and adjacent rooms were significant. however, the staff was nice, the restaurant surprisingly very good and the bar area very lively. the setting along the harbor is a plus.

We stayed here 2 nights. It is right next to the small harbour and some shops and restaurants. Room was nice and clean with comfy bed. Breakfast was rich and plentiful (eggs, sausages, bagels, apples, oranges, coffee, juices, etc). We had a pleasant stay.

very nice, excellent value. Kitchen well stocked. Would suggest a broom and dust pan, so we wouldn't need to use the vacuum on the floor. Beds were comfy. Bathroom OK, but water lines were reversed for the shower. We were fortunate to see the Aurora. Would definitely stay again and recommend

Great place to stay on the harbor. The guy at checkin was really friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Would stay here again in Valdez. Walkable to restaurants , shops and harbor.

This hotel is right on the bay and close to the restaurants downtown. In walking distance of everything. They do have laundry facilities that cost $2 a load. The continental breakfast was so good. Better than most offered by hotels.

Disappointing
This property needs a major overhaul. Both the public spaces and the rooms are dated and rundown. The breakfast area was cluttered and unappealing. It was not what I expect from a Best Western. On the plus side, our room was clean and quiet and the bed was comfortable.

Old town but absolutely beautiful! The hotel was old as well but well maintained. We live with A/C on year-round so having no A/C was a little bit challenging for us. Our first and only night with two-doubles. We definitely prefer two-queens but everything around was very pleasant so I want to revisit the town.

Valdez, highly recommended
Valdez, Alaska, is a place to visit when in Alaska. The glacier tour was great, and the city, with its surrounding mountains, makes for beautiful scenery.
