Rundown with pealing hallway walls, broken lamps, well worn rooms. No elevator to get to second floor, just stairs. Loud float planes flying overhead. No better than a motel 6

Lobby and hallway carpets have been updated. Everything else, including our room was very dated. Light fixture above bath sink ready to fall off wall and bulb over tub/shower not working. Shampoo dispenser empty. Also, while clearly marked no smoking, the room reeked of smoke. As to be expected next to airport and Lake Hood there is plenty of plane noise. I suppose if you get a good rate this is all tolerable but we paid quite a lot and it just not at all justifiable for what you get.

When searching for a hotel in Anchorage for a one night stay before our cruise, I quickly realized how expensive the decent hotels there are. I decided to pay a little more than some of the others and stay at Coast Inn, mainly due to the airport shuttle and location. The staff members were very nice and our room was clean. Unfortunately, there was a smoke smell in the room and the beds are not the most comfortable. I was hoping with the price the last two factors wouldn’t have been an issue, which is the reason for the 4 stars. The restaurant was a bonus considering we did not have to leave the hotel to access it and it had good food.

Service was good. Fast check in and out. Only negative is they don’t have an elevator, which comes in handy when you’re staying on the 2 nd floor 😕 Other than that everything else was good.

We were looking a place just overnight to catch our airplane after a cruise, we were extremely surprised that hotels in downtown area was etremely expensive, we dis not want to pay 800dolar for a 3 star hotel. This hotel did the job yea itbis old but provided clean sheets clean room and comfortable bedding. We used uber to go to downtown area. We could not find much to do orher than Museum in Anchorage.

The area is very beautiful and the hotel is very close to the airport. This property does not have an elevator and you have to carry your suitcases by yourself to your room from lower level to upper level about 20 steps. it was very difficult and no one available to help. rooms were clean but very old looking.

Id like to give it a great review since its been a home away from home since the 70's. There are mice in the rooms, and the time instayed before there were bloody footprints in the bathroom-these are hars to ignore.
