I only have to things....

Pros: The location and cleanliness.

I travel for work a lot. So I stay in hotels quite often. I only have 2 really important things that have to occur in my hotel room: 1. It has got to be CLEAN. 2. The bed and pillows have to be comfortable as I have a very bad neck. This room hit the mark on clean. It also had no weird or funky smells. Then I tried to sleep. This was the most uncomfortable bed I have ever tried, and failed, to sleep on. It was rock hard. There were 4 pillows, which is a great amount for a full size bed, but they were feather pillows that were insanely soft. Zero support. I literally had to be in pain for 3 days for my body to recover. I will probably never stay here again...I would rather pay more for a comfortable bed and no future pain. And sleep...lets not forget sleep. My recommendation to the hotel, should they see this: get some bed toppers. That's all it would take. Also, although I am not allergic to feathers, many people are. You need to maybe do two feather pillows and two, firmer, fiber filled pillows on each bed.....give those of us with neck/back issues some options. But it was CLEAN. I would like to reiterate this.

Pros: They had all I would need in the hotel before flying home.
Cons: Wish the conntenantal breakfast offered more choices.
Location: Loved how close it was to the airport and not loud. Very comfortable.

Battleground hotel

Pros: The shuttle ride to the hotel and the food was okay.
Cons: When a toilet was flushed in our room or any room near us it sounded like a machine gun blast. Kids above our room- I assume manager's apartment were constantly running back and forth- we were trying to get some sleep as we had an early flight in the morning.
Location: Close to the airport.

We do have a good number of family's that do stay with us from all over Alaska. We will review our room noise policies so to ensure quite surrounding guest rooms. While the hotel does show some age, my stay was a very pleasant one and the room was fine; nothing fancy but had all the necessities and was fine for the price. The hotel, restaurant and bar staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is close to the airport but not noisy. Easy in and out. I would stay here again.

The room was good and the facility was clean. The down fall is there is a lot of noise from the jets at the airport nearby and also the beds are hard.

Not A Quality Stay

Location: Close to airport. Onsite restaurant and sports bar. Right next to the water aerodrome so noisy. Bush planes flying out early morning.
Pretty run down. Shady characters hanging around lobby and outside. Not all that well kept. Staff was nice. Not what I think about when I envision a Coast Hotel.

Pros: Close to airport. Reasonably priced.
Cons: A bit of modernization. But, still overall an okay place.
Location: Close to airport. Not close to downtown or anything else.
convenient to airport, modest but clean. Staff friendly and helpful. Adjoining restaurant had good food, service and prices.

easy access to the airport/shuttle service

Overnight stay, 4am shuttle, wake up call when wanted. Good food and service in Sports Bar (Sunday night).
