Cozy downtown retreat, walk to Fire Island Bakery!! Clean & Quiet!

Family-friendly Anchorage apartments in Downtown Anchorage, near Anchorage 5th Avenue Mall
Cozy mother-in-law apartment in safe, desirable downtown "South Addition" neighborhood. This studio apartment is open concept with a separate bathroom and shower, fully equipped kitchen, washer and dryer in unit and private patio!

Furnished with a modern murphy bed, large Ikea wardrobe, kitchen island/table/workspace and couch - you will feel right at home! Ample storage in the wardrobe for your belongings and plenty of space to relax.

You have a completely private entrance - there are no doors or hallways leading into the main house from the apartment. The private entrance steps directly into the apartment so you are truly in your own space!
Private patio space for your enjoyment after a day exploring Anchorage or the surrounding areas. Relax with a bottle of wine and enjoy the midnight sun as you sit around the fire-pit and plan your next adventure!

Private, off street, parking available for 1 car in a shared 3 car driveway. Additional street parking is available and free.

Adorable South Addition neighborhood was originally designed for military families during the Alaska statehood days and quickly became a sought after housing destination as Anchorage continued to grow. It is one of the most desirable areas to live in Anchorage! Amazing Fire Island Bakery is 2 blocks from the apartment as well as New Sagaya City Market for any groceries you may need. Take a walk downtown to explore, visit the local Saturday Market or watch the large kites soaring on the Delaney Park Strip (5 short blocks). The famous Coastal Trail is a destination as well without needing a vehicle! Hop right onto the Chester Creek Trail just down the street and wind your way around beautiful Westchester Lagoon which then connects directly with the Coastal Trail. Renting a bike would be great for this as well!

Close to everything you need to explore historic downtown Anchorage, museums, restaurants and the vast array of outdoor activities. Or, hop right on the road and take a day trip to Girdwood (30-40 minute drive depending on traffic)! Visit this sleepy ski haven in the winter for world class skiing, or in the Spring/Summer/Fall for an abundance of hiking, mountain biking & wildlife viewing. Be sure to keep an eye out for Beluga whales and Dall sheep as you drive along Turnagain Arm! You don't have to travel outside of downtown to enjoy wildlife sightings though - moose walking the streets of downtown Anchorage, eagles soaring low through the city and even the occasional black bear (though less common) are a common occurrence.

Downtown Anchorage is an urban setting. The speed limit throughout all of downtown Anchorage is 35 mph and some traffic/street noise can be heard during normal commute times. If you are looking for round the clock silence, I would recommend finding a rental in the "Hillside" area of Anchorage (15-25 minutes from downtown depending on location and traffic).
Guest accommodations at this apartment offer DVD players and coffee/tea makers. Rooms open to patios. Kitchens offer refrigerators, stovetops, microwaves, and cookware/dishes/utensils. Bathrooms include showers and hair dryers.
The recreational activities listed below are available either on site or nearby; fees may apply.

5/5 Excellent

Perfect location
This property is exactly the way it is described. We arrived so late because of flight delay and I never once felt unsafe. Clean and very equipped. We were able to have a later check out to accommodate a vehicle pickup. When we return we'll definitely be staying here again. Thanks so much Tiffany

5/5 Excellent

Everything You Need
The guest house was well equipped with anything you might need when traveling in Anchorage. The kitchen and bathroom were very beautiful. It is also conveniently located near the airport and anywhere else you might want to go on Anchorage. The property manager was easy to get a hold of and responded quickly. We had no trouble finding the VRBO or getting in with the directions provided. Good option for a single traveler or couple on vacation!

4/5 Good

Great location , clean
For us location was perfect for checking out downtown, Kincaid park, and earthquake park, along with flight sightseeing from Lake hood. Everything was clean. Would have been nice to have Keurig coffee maker. Traffic noise outside by fire pit but was ok . Price was right Overall good / would stay here again

5/5 Excellent

Great location and just the right size.
Very convenient location and super easy to come and go. I was in town for 10 days and this South Addition rental was the perfect place to call home. The kitchen had the necessitates for me to make coffee and cook meals. I appreciate the plush towels. Overall, I recommend.

An amazing stay!
I am so grateful to Tiffany for providing such a warm and inviting space. The unit was clean and comfortable and the perfect location for downtown adventures as well as trail walks/skis. She is also a very responsive host, and assisted with all of my questions! Would definitely recommend a stay here.
