Quick ski getaway
Loved the location of the property. Walked to the lifts. Beautiful home with plenty of space for our family of 6. Kitchen was decently stocked and we had everything we needed. Kids loved it and want to stay again next year.

Bring your own chairs, bed frames and light bulbs…
This is the second time we have rented this property and although it is in a great location the interior has gone downhill. The listing indicates that there are 4 chairs at the dining table which is not true. There is a bench and 1 chair which makes dining together a standing experience for some. Also, the upstairs beds are shown on bed frames which is not the case. Only 1 twin bed upstairs is on a frame. The other 2 beds are not. Mattresses on the floor is fine, I suppose, unless you’re an adult. Beds are very firm which was good for us but may not be for everyone. Multiple lightbulbs are burned out throughout the rental. The kitchen faucet is very loose too. As I said earlier, the location is awesome and that makes up for a lot but the owner or manager needs to spend some time and effort to get this property back to the level expected.

Disappointed overall
The location of the property is in perfect proximity of the resort with a beautiful view but we were under the impression we were renting the entire house, as there were photos showing the basement with full laundry access when we paid the deposit. It wasn't until we were there that we heard and saw other people which was very uncomfortable. Per the property management, the "mother-in-law suite" is rented separately but we had no idea anyone else would be under the same roof as our family. It again caused a very uncomfortable situation and if we had known the property was shared, we would have stayed elsewhere. As for the portion of the property we stayed in, there are issues that need to be addressed. -Both showers do not drain properly -Loose kitchen faucet -2nd story balcony: Right & left elevation - wet rot to the decking. There's water coming in through the roofing material somehow causing a leak to the decking which is now covered in mold. -The right hand rail for the steps to the front door is very wobbly, could be a safety hazard.

Good location for families
We had multiple family members staying with us. The kitchen is big, easy too cook dinners, but had limited silverwear and bowls. We just used paper/plasticware that we had with us. The homeowner sent someone to look at a few things that were reported by previous renters.

Basic rental in Girdwood
This rental is as described - No wifi, no laundry, kitchen has most things that are needed, not many dishes. Beds are comfy. No hooks, so tough to dry or hang anything. Nice setting and quiet neighborhood. It worked well for our family of 4, plenty of space for us.

Great Location
Overall we enjoyed our stay! A couple things to fix: kitchen sink DOES NOT shut off!!! Smoke alarms ( in Rubbermaid bin, in closet) we’re beeping (VERY ANNOYING!!) we removed the dead batteries…. They need to be replaced. Stove top was FILTHY!! Greasy and gross. Several pans were also dirty and we had to soak and scrub. Great location to the mountain and fun area!!

Cute veneer, not great after all
We checked in after arriving on a late evening flight. The heating system for this home is a radiant floor and it had been set to 50 deg. If you're familiar with this type of heating, you'll know it takes a good 12+ hours to come up to temperature. We went around the house and gathered up every available throw or blanket to put over the beds to stay warm that night, and even then, I slept with my down jacket on. When we arrived, one of the bedrooms had been locked inadvertently from the inside, so we were not able to sleep in that room. My parents stayed in the one bedroom on the main level that was open, while my husband and I stay up in the loft on a mattress on the floor. This set up is fine if it's a bunch of bachelors up for a ski weekend, not caring about how many people bunk in. We did care. The management did address the locked door, but not until the next day, but of course by that time we were already settled upstairs. We ended up not moving down to the 2nd bedroom because the bed in that room seemed pretty rickety - almost like a mattress on cot legs. None of the bathrooms have any towel hooks or bars or anything to hang a wet towel on. So unless your group isn't staying for more than a night, it's an odd thing to have to figure out where to hang your towel. There's a sign inside the front door asking everyone to remove their shoes, but no where to sit while one does so. No coat hooks there either, only giant snowboard storage that threatens to poke one's eye as you come down the stairs. Overall, the pictures are cute. The veneer of a cute winter cabin is interesting. But it's clear no one who cares about the house has ever stayed there to put in place the things that make a stay easy and one that we would want to come back to.
