Easy to get around in a central part of town.

Posted Aug 27, 2015
Pros: Location
The bell men were not helpful. I had a huge suitcase and they just looked at me without asking if they could help. Not what I expected of the Hilton. The tub was clogged. But overall the other staff were pleasant.

Good hotel

Posted Aug 4, 2015
Cons: Take the plants out of the hot tub and replace them with hot water :)
This is a dated hotel - apparently one of the few tall buildings downtown that survived "the quake" in the 1960's. But they have done a decent job renovating it and keeping it up to date. Beds are comfy, rooms are clean, restaurant is great. Nothing particularly special about it. There was actually an earthquake while we were there, so that was exciting.

Alaska - Hilton Anchorage

Posted Jul 27, 2015
Pros: See previous comments
Cons: Parking. There are options - we chose to valet - but it's expensive. The staff was very accommodating however.
Location: See above.
The Hilton is in a great location for touring Anchorage. The staff were outstanding - very friendly and helpful even though they were extremely busy for the summer tourist season. The location is just blocks from shopping, nice restaurants and brewhouses.

Great location!

We stayed for a night before heading north to Denali National Park. Hotel was clean and the staff were friendly. Decor was a little older and out of date, but the rooms were clean with comfortable beds. Real plus was the excellent location. An easy walk to restaurants and Anchorge sights.

Perfect location

Posted Jul 26, 2015
Pros: The bell boys are full local knowledge and more helpful than the reception staff so if you're looking for tips and ideas have a chat with them.
Cons: the hotel is a little dated and the swimming pool is freezing!
Location: Great location! Everything in walking distance, all the restaurants & travel companies for booking day trips were very close by. info centre is a must
The location of this hotel is perfect. the rooms are a little dated but they are immaculately clean. The only real negative is it can be A bit noisy. You will hear every train that comes through the railroad station as they insist on blowing their horns despite the time (regularly woken before 6am and heard them as late as half past midnight!)

Pros: The room was very comfortable
Cons: Lobby is too noisy and the 2 elevators in our part of the hotel took ages to reach our floor.
Location: Excellent location. Everything within walking distance.
When we checked in early afternoon we found a discarded tray on the floor outside our room. At 10:30 at night the tray was still there. We were rudely awakened by a fire alarm at 5:00 am. After reporting this to the bell boy (the reception was not answering the phone) it took another 20-30 minutes before they turned it off. I was unable to sleep after that.

Nice hotel in a great location. Parking wasn't great... Had to park on the street which is, fortunately, free on the weekends or use valet which is $24 per day. Saturdays and Sundays throughout the summer there's a market in the park on the corner. Lots of fun stuff there, uniquely Alaskan items. Would definitely stay there again
