was nice stay here-good room-the breakfast could of been better-the food was good but they kept running out of food & was slow to restock-we stayed there 3 night & the story was the same each & every morning

I feel sorry for the staff that does the breakfast. They always seem to be understaffed in that area. And they usually look sad. I stay there frequently and it always seem to be that way. But the staff are always nice.

Liked the hallway carpet. Eggs were good. Just seemed like breakfast was cheap. It used to have fresh oatmeal, warm cinnamon rolls, cookies in the evening, better quality overall.

Musty and old. Leak coming from upstairs bathroom. Staff were polite but the Hotel needs total uplift. I don't know how Holiday Inn has kept it franchise still there on such a Hotel that needs improvement everywhere.

Holiday Inn Express in Anchorage is very convenient for me as I fly in and out quickly and they offer shuttle services. The front desk staff has always been extremely friendly and helpful.

They only clean the room every five days, unless requested to clean earlier. When we requested a cleaning during our 4 night stay numerous times we were basically shrugged off.

Bonnie at the front desk was a very busy multi-tasker, but still made you feel very cared for and all questions addressed. She was friendly and had suggestions for “must-see’s” around Anchorage. Having a shuttle and a bagged breakfast (since we left so early) was an added touch.

Everything was great! The hotel was clean and quiet. The beds were comfy (as always at HIE), and the breakfast was delicious. No complaints, whatsoever!

Outstanding hotel!
Check in time is normally 3 PM, but we were homeless for a few hours and decided to show up at 1:30 PM and the desk clerk had a nice room set aside for us. The room was comfortable, quiet, and all products were fully stocked. And, it had a microwave and refrigerator! The airport shuttle was fantastic and the driver was very helpful and friendly. Overall, we were very pleased with our entire experience at this hotel.

Nasty, Stay somewhere else! Check the sheets!
I initially booked this room because of the good reviews 8.4 stars on hotels.com. However, when we checked in, the bath water was brown, and we pulled the comforter down to check the bed. There was hair on the sheets and they did not look as if they had been changed. When I contacted the front desk to ask for a manager, they offered a different room and said that contacting a manager wasn't necessary. I tried to show the front desk clerk the pictures of this issues and he did not want to see them. In the second room, the bath water was clear, but when I pulled down the comforter, the sheets had stains and did not look as if they had been changed. There was also black mold on ceiling tiles and the rooms were dirty in general. This was certainly not what I had expected from Holiday Inn Express and was most certainly overpriced at $339 for one night. My wife and I ended up sleeping in our rental car until our red eye flight from Anchorage. At least the rental car wasnt filthy.

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. I regret that you were not satisfied with your accommodations. You asked to speak with a manger and you spoke with a manager - me. You offered to show me pictures. I said they weren't necessary. I took you at your word and changed your room immediately. You wanted a discount based on the room you were no longer occupying, that you had moved from. I wasn't going to discuss discounts, since I was able to put you into a different room. I asked you at least three times if your new room was satisfactory and you finally said "No", but did not give any details, and walked away. I never saw a wife. 30 minutes later, you announced that you wanted to check out, so I went out of my way to make sure you would not be charged for your reservation. I am sorry if you chose to sleep in your car, rather than find a different hotel or even go to the airport.

Very nice breakfast, the only thing keeping me from giving 5 stars was that the rooms are older and could use a face-lift also the surrounding area has just a few dining choices. Overall a good experience.

Both times we have stayed there the check in was extremely slow. There was only one person at the desk to check people in, answer the phone and retrieve stored items. They need to staff better.
