A dream come true On approach to Anchorage, AK Street vendor. Peanut butter pie... Yumm! A state champ and MVP. Kodiak Lady Bears go 27-0 Breakfast sandwich of Reindeer sausage. The Sandwich Deck is nothing fancy to look at, but the food's good and the price is right. Enjoying the Blues at a happening new place... Killjoy Thankful that a fellow participant at the RISING-SUN conference shared some seaweed with us this morning. I will try fermented whale at lunch. When in the traditional territories of original peoples, it's good to eat some of the food they offer you - it's respectful, and it shows your appreciation for that which nourished your guests for hundreds of thousands of years. For incredible panoramic views of the Chugach Mountains, Cook inlet and Anchorage just take the elevator to the top floor of this carpark. Best views in town and it's free. Yeah it's a bit touristy, but without a car it was a good way to get out of downtown. Takes you to Lake Hood and Earthquake Park and the guide was very informative. $20 for an hour and leaves from outside the Visitor Info Centre on 4th Ave.
