most of the advertised amenities weren't available

Posted Mar 25, 2017
Pros: it was close to my destination.
there was no shuttle service available when i arrived - i had to find a taxi (a PARTICULAR taxi). the hotel internet was not functioning - after repeated inquiries, i was told "it is your device. here, I'll give you our IT number and you can call and work it out with them." (??!!) the $20 food credit was unavailable - they never did find the vouchers but did arrange with the coffee bar for the credit; Unfortunately, we had to use the entire $20 at the same time! no carry over to the next days! therefore, the money was wasted (saved by the hotel!) we asked for additional coffee /filters and never did receive them - had to make extra trips to the front desk.

Close enough to downtown.

Posted Mar 20, 2017
Pros: The view from the top floor. The suite so that we could have some breakfast available to us.
Cons: You could hear the noise in the hallways as the walls appeared thin.
Location: Downtown was an easy walk. The hockey arena was close by. You would need a car to drive along the highway to enjoy the view of the water and mountain
We had a corner room with a very nice view. Our check-in was messed up as we had a flight delay and our reservation was cancelled for more than just the one night.

Great view!

Posted Mar 10, 2017
Pros: We luckily got a room facing the inlelt with sleeping lady right out our window. The large rooms had king beds, microwave, mini fridge and tv!
Cons: The staff could be a little better trained on 3rd party reservations.
Location: We came straight from an event at the Eagen and it was a quick cab ride right to the hotel!
Love the inlet tower views and large rooms! We checked in later in the evening and they had some issues with the rate we had on expedia vs what was showing in their computer but we were only charged the correct amount so all is good! I just think the night shift wasn't as up to speed on their software.

Hello Sara, thank you so much for taking the time to tell us about your stay. I apologize for any confusion at the front desk, sometimes reservations that flow directly into our system from online sites are not correct, and the front desk must hunt down the reservation online. I will make sure we do thorough training on the subject in our next front desk training though. We appreciate out guests feedback and hope to see you again in the future!

Comfortable room, close to downtown, quiet & clean

Posted Mar 10, 2017
I had a good experience at the Inlet Tower Hotel. A great view from the 9th floor facing the Cook Inlet. The kitchen area was convenient however the fridge must have had a broken freezer door cover because everything I put in the fridge section froze. The beds were will kept by housekeeping, cleanliness was on key and noise was nonexistent. I didn't have a hair dryer/iron or ironing board which I normally see in hotels so that was a minus one. But I would stay again.

Hello Aaron, thank you for your feedback! I have entered a maintenance order in for the freezer repair, and have noted that your room was missing the hair dryer and iron/ironing board. We absolutely do provide these items to your guests and I apologize they were missing from the room. We hope you give us another chance in the future to knock your socks off!

Excellent

Posted Mar 9, 2017
Pros: The view, staff and location,
Cons: It's just me, I like cold rooms, even in Alaska.
Location: Was able to walk down to the Cook inlet and to the Tony Knowles Coastal Trail and then up to Downtown Alaska and back to the hotel with relative ease.
This is my third year and there will be a fourth and fifth ect, ect. Only one problem, the room was too warm for me. Nothing could be done, heaters were off and I was in Alaska, guess it's just me. Staff was very accommodating, beautiful view of Downtown Anchorage. Just wish the windows would open to get that fresh Alaskan air. There is a great food store/coffee shop across the street. Great coffee and hospitality. Accents the Hotel.

Thank you so much for taking the time to let us know about your stay. I apologize if the room was to warm for your liking. We typically have the AC units turned off the the winter, but in the future we would be happy to provide you with a fan in the room, or have an AC unit turned on for you upon request.

Maybe Mildew, Maybe Mold

Posted Mar 7, 2017
Pros: The housekeeping staff did a great job with daily maintenance, and the view from the 14th floor was pretty.
Cons: The rooms all need a deep clean or an update!
Location: The hotel is located near the downtown area. It might be close enough in the summertime to walk to the busier part of town, but not in the winter!
We got to the hotel and there was some confusion about our room. They kept asking if we were sure that we booked a room with a king sized bed. We told the front desk staff that we did, and they said that it was weird because they didn't have any available. Check-in was at 3PM and we got there around 4:30PM. They attempted to contact someone from their housekeeping staff to ask if they could turn any of their king rooms. Luckily, someone promptly answered and they said it would be a moment for someone to clean the room. We sat in the lobby area for 15 minutes waiting for a room. Our room just needed a DEEP cleaning. Carpet was worn with stains. Paint/ furniture/appliances were dilapidated. There were no fans in the restroom or bedroom, and you could not control the temperature. The only thing you could control was the radiator by the window for heat. The window air conditioner didn't work (probably shut off for the winter time). Our room was HOT, so we turned off our radiator and opened the window. When doing so, we noticed a significant amount of mold/mildew in the corners of the windows. In the night time our noses and ears were interrupted with the smell of smoke from other floors and noises from late-night-bar hoppers and barking from pets. The bed itself was not very comfortable. It was a king, but you could feel every spring and edge.

Thanks so much for your feedback. We are an older building that is in the process of being updated, and we do realize we have limitations but I hope you were able to enjoy your stay otherwise. The team here has created a plan for this springs deep cleaning and your feedback will be a great training opportunity for our staff. Please come back and see the changes we are making for yourself if you find yourself in Anchorage again.

Great deal for the price

Posted Mar 6, 2017
Pros: The view and food voucher
Cons: The blanket was really lumpy. Time to change it out.
Location: Perfect location. Great place to walk around town from
I stay on the 10th floor. It was quiet and cute. The added $20 gift card for food was a wonderful bonus. I could not check out until 3:00pm. The staff was gracious enough to allow me to do this. Great experience.

Friendliest pub in Alaska

Posted Mar 2, 2017
Pros: It was right around the corner from New Segayas grocery store which has fabulous coffee and a mouth-watering bakery (open early).
Cons: Maybe I was in an older room (12th floor)but it definitely smelled like grandma's house. Also my mattress was old and saggy.
Location: Good location, close to downtown.
Because my room had a weird smell to it, I didn't want to spend much time in it. I ate dinner the first night in the pub downstairs, which surprised me in its gourmet fare and the friendliness of the waitstaff and bartender. The pub has a warm atmosphere and it was a fun place to meet and visit with fellow Alaskans. It was a great surprise.
