Very clean and quiet

Location: the pictures on the website showed that its close to the beach - no true.
Very nice hotel, bur had no pool and NO airport shuttle. All nearby hotels offered shuttles to attractions and airport.

Dear Anonymous, Thank you for your most recent feedback. I'm pleased you found the property to be older but still well maintained. I do recognize the issue with the elevators and apologize for this. We are in the midst of planning on renovations to these. Again my apologies. Sincerely, Colin McBeath General Manager

Age of hotel

Posted Jul 12, 2016
I was surprised that it was an older hotel, but with that, Sheraton does well with maintaining it. I personally would not choose this facility again. It's just simply outdated.

Nice Hôtel but needs to be updated

Posted Jul 5, 2016
I had a good experience. Staff was friendly but not very well trained. I understand they were students too so I did not expect a lot as they are still learning though. Overall it was a good experience.

Average Experience

Posted Jul 4, 2016
This was not even close to Sheraton level rooms, or services. We stayed at a 3 start hotel next night which was much cleaner, spacious, newer, with complimentary full breakfast. And the best customers service. Our stay at Sheraton was equivalent to a stay with "Days Inn." Everything was just bellow average for the amount of charges.

Don't go

Posted Jun 27, 2016
Carpet in the room was sticky. Staff was horribly un knowledgable about the area. Restaurant staff was pathetic. This property is not reflective of a Sheraton.

Dear Laverne, Thank you for your most recent feedback. I am delighted you enjoyed your stay. I do apologize for the lack of micowaves. Regretfully we have removed them for safety reasons. As you know if you microwave metal or other matierals there is the potential for a fire, hence the removal. We do offer services through our Room Service department at no additional charge. Sincerely, Colin McBeath General Manager

Hotel Okay

Posted Jun 21, 2016
Pros: Comfortable bed.
Cons: Repair A/C unit leaks unto carpet overnight night. Entrance lobby needs to come alive, better lighting, brighter colour decor to create classy feel.
Location: Walk along 4th Ave to the waterfront and into the core of the town
Hotel away from the core of the town, within walking distance. A few restaurants nearby, an indoor mall, on Sunday's there is a lovely flee market on the water front. Good for a walk through, meet the locals. The front office staff are quite efficient. The hotel has a darkish entrance. Not what I would expect for a Sheraton. Rooms big, comfortable bed, dated shower and furniture. Not a great view from our room. Cab service at the front of the hotel terrible experience - we were heading to the train station going to Seward to meet our cruise, the cab driver pretended not to know where the train station was, his ploy to avoid taking us on a shorter ride to the station. In the end we got a super cab driver, home grown Alaskan, we got a history lesson.
