Looked better than it was.

Posted Nov 1, 2016
Pros: The pool, the cleanliness of the room
Cons: The customer service and the restaurant
Location: Glaciers, wildlife, skiing, shops, mining, hiking.
Beatiful facilities, sadly the customer service was a let down. The room was clean and quite, bug the heat wouldn't shut off for 2 days and had to call the front desk twice before they sent someone to fix it. Also the on site restaurant was a huge disappointment 5 star prices 2 star experience.

Special Place

Posted Oct 31, 2016
Pros: The location of this place is magical with the mountains and close proximity to glacial lakes, hikes and exploring the southern areas of the state. Everything we experienced in the hotel was excellent...staff, cleanliness, service, accommodations, location, views, and amenities on-site.
Cons: Decaf coffee option in the room from the start would be helpful.
Location: Alyseka Resort hiking trails, Whittier Tunnel, Portage Lake and road trip to Seward.

Beautiful hotel with a scenic drive to get to.

Hotel was beautiful and comfortable / clean rooms. The staff at the more casual of the 2 restaurants was slow and disfunctional. One food item had to be sent back because it had a piece of plastic wrapped in it. Great hotel, just eat somewhere else.

Pros: Location in the mountains was great and the hotel had a shuttle bus that went to the different restaurants and highlighted areas
Cons: The tram was closed for maintenance
Location: Restaurants near by were very good.
Room was clean, comfortable and very quiet. Front staff were very helpful and were there to make our stay comfortable. Would stay next trip
