Loved our trip! Sad the area was experiencing very little snow, but we had fresh powder every morning we were there! We will be back.

Wore out.

To expensive for what you get. The staff in the ticket office on "The Mountain" are rude and give you the feeling you are not "one of them" if you don't understand how everything works. On our last day I called and asked if we could come in and ride the tubes at four. They said yes, but when we got there agent says it closed, because it snowed all day. I asked how much to ride to the top of mountain and look around. She said yes $20. I turned around and asked me my party if they wanted to go. When I turned around and said we would take 4 tickets, she said it was closed too and seemed to think it was funny. Please teach your folks some customer service.

Dear J, sorry for the imperfect service you experienced. The tubing was closed for safety reasons (speeds can get too fast with fresh snow), and our ticket agent should have let you know upfront the Chile Express was closed at that time. I will pass along your comments for us to improve.

Great location but uncomfortable room.

The location was great, the room was as nice but the bed was the hardest I have ever slept on and the couch & chair were terrible as we had to sit with our feet up on them to keep from sliding off.

Snow ski hotel

Pros: proximity to ski lifts.
Cons: A light needs to be installed over the little refrigerator cubbyhole. There is no microwave in the room. Small coffee pot. Small frig.
Location: Easy drive over to Taos to visit galleries and restqaurants.
Angel Fire Resort is nice for being right there where all of the ski rentals and lift tickets are sold. It's easy to get back to your room for a rest without having to wait for a shuttle or get in your car to go to another lodging spot. The downside to the hotel is very poor lighting in the rooms, and little privacy to the bathroom area. We thought we were getting an "updated" room, but it sure looked the same to us as the room the previous year that was not updated. Rooms don't get cleaned until late in the day. Rooms are large.

JBH, thank you for your feedback. We are aware of the need for better lighting in rooms, and for many of the rooms to be updated. We are starting that process and hope to have a few more ready for next ski season.

Beautiful property will go back. Only 2 things could make out stay better: the bed were very uncomfortable, staff were nice but sent us in several directions with each one sending us back to the other room before we received the service we wanted

About what you would expect for price

Location is good to slopes. Staff was generally accommodating. The maid service was pretty poor. We used one of the two beds in the room and everyday after room had been cleaned the bed looked like someone had sat on it. Overall the hotel is fine. There is no higher end hotels in Angel Fire...

Descent place, been to nicer

Pros: It did have a good family environment with planned activities for kids.
Cons: People should be able to access the ski area without going to the bottom floor of the hotel; install an elevator or escalator.
Location: The location was in a nice area, but there wasn't much to do outside of the resort.
It was a descent place, I've stayed at nicer hotels. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The heating unit looks like it has been there since they opened in the 1960's; there's no way to know what temperature it's set to. There were no hooks to hang towels and other clothing on. The water pressure in the shower was pathetic. Be prepared to walk a LOT of steps to get to the ski area - people should be able to access the ski area without going to the bottom floor of the hotel. You cannot see the pool from the hot tub so forget about soaking and watching the kids for safety. It did have a good family environment with planned activities for kids.

Ok Stay

My room wasn't real clean, sheets had stains. Room was kinda stuffy with only heat. Lighting was very poor in the room especially with no light at the little bar area. A microwave would of been nice instead of having to walk down the hall to heat something up. The shops closed way too early!

Angel Fire Resort

The ski school is amazing. My boys loved the experience, and they caught onto the sport very quickly.
