"Wonderful stay at the Mitsis Royal Mare, the room and facilities were elegant and perfectly maintained and all staff were lovely and welcoming. We found the food in the themed restaurants great, maybe they could improve the food options for the main restaurant, especially for vegetarian guests. As in many resorts in Crete there were few stray cats and it was nice to notice one of the staff leaving some food and water available for them. They clearly look very hungry and the hotel could certainly leave some more food for them. We have been to other Mitsis Hotels and this is by far our favourite, particularly the rooms with sharing pool and themed restaurants. "
