Not really a motel

The noise from the freeway was deafening. When I arrived the thermostat had been set to 60 F. Minimal amenities. The only good thing was the kitchenette, including a stove, range, and full-size refrigerator. This is really for people looking for an extended stay who can't afford anything better.

Smokers Convention

This was more like staying in a college dorm than it was a hotel room. There was almost no hotel staff to speak of. The rooms are very bare-bones. We rented two rooms and one of them look like it had been very abused. But the most difficult part was when we got off the elevator, it smelled like the hallway had been filled with smokers. It was an overwhelming smell and it really ruined our experience there. I will not stay there again.

Terrific stay

My husband and I stayed for a month at WoodSpring (previously Value Place). The room was very comfortable and the staff were great.

This is an extended-stay hotel in not great condition. The mattress was hard and lumpy, and there were a lot of mysterious stains on the bed skirt.

Worst hotel ever.

This is the worst hotel ever. Caught someone from house cleaning smoking meth in a bathroom she was cleaning. Went to tell the manager and she called the police on ME. You couldn't pay me to stay at this place.

Thanks Jim for your feedback. Unfortunately we have guests and staff that can not conduct themselves and the police need to get involved. We looked into the meth issue and did not find any proof. Hope your next hotel experience is a good one.

Definitely need a car

Pleaseant enough... it's basic but clean .a car is necessary to get to shopping and food areas ... staff was kind ...

COMFIE and Clean

well, I called ahead to see if we could get in our room about 1pm instead of 3 pm check in time. The lady i spoke with was very kind and arranged things so we could get in sooner. WHICH was perfect for us and allows to rest and get ready for our evening in DSM. the bed was very comfortable. Staff I spoke with was very nice. We were unable to get the shower to turn on and I called down and the nice young man explained to me to use a bit more strength or he would be more then happy to come and do it for us. We did manage to get it on and realized WHY someone tighten so badly (It was a bit leaky). The room was very nice, clean, fresh and comfie.. We will stay there again.

You get what you pay for. Furnishings are sparse and decoration is non existent. Similar to a dorm room.
