Great hotel except...

Pros: The décor and the roominess of the rooms.
Cons: Air conditioner capabilities: not able to keep up with the weather Cleanliness (lingering urine smell in bathroom).
I loved the room...it was beautiful and the bed was very comfy. While the bathroom was roomy and appeared very clean, it smelled like it had been wiped down with a dirty rag: there was a lingering urine smell. The thermostat was flashing "low battery" and once the battery was replaced (quickly), the room temperature was never able to get below 74*. The maintenance man said it was due to it being hot outside (~85* and humid); I've been in other hotels during similar weather conditions and there was never an issue with the a/c keeping up. The staff was very friendly and responded immediately to my concerns. I only stayed one night so I am not totally against this hotel. I'm willing to stay there again to see if these issues are resolved.

Great Hotel

I was born and raised in Ann Arbor and my brother and I spent many a birthday at this fine hotel. I have no complaints or anything to say about this hotel. It's clean, customer service is excellent, and my room was amazing. However, it wasn't worth 176 dollars. That was only because university of Michigan graduated so it was no fault of Hampton Inn. Looking for a 4 star experience for a 2 star price this is it!

Would not recommend this hotel.

Reserved a room for Medical visits in the area. Booked a room with an EXTRA Rollaway bed. Said it had a Accessible bathtub. When we got to the hotel we were told they do not have extra beds & haven't in over a year. Said they didn't have an accessible room available and didn't know if they even had a double room. Luckily I had printed out my itinerary to prove my reservation. They gave us a regular room- no apology couldn't have cared less about my 80 year old mother being comfortable. Heat would not turn down.

Lost a customer.

I was told I got a UofM Hospital discount but price was $40.00 higher then the Holiday Inn. I did not even get the Hotel.com price,did not get e-mail bill they said they would send. Will not be back.
