To see it for yourself, you'll have to step away from the beaten track a bit and take a trip to Santa Rosa, which is situated 60 miles from the state capital, Sacramento.
Why drag the kids halfway across town when you could just stay 6 miles from Annadel State Park at one of the 17 possible hotels? You should be able to find something you like at the Courtyard by Marriott Santa Rosa and Hyatt Vineyard Creek.
